SIM is a department of ~600 people based in Bangalore (India), Toulouse (France), Hamburg &
Bremen (Germany), Getafe (Spain), Filton (UK), Mobile (US), Beijing (China), and Kuala
Lumpur (Malaysia). Our main missions are:
● Retrofit Solutions: Deliver and Support added value Retrofit solution packages to
maintain continued aircraft airworthiness and improve Customers’ Operations &
profitability
● Maintenance Program Engineering: Deliver customer value through an array of
services (from business development to the preparation of Planned Maintenance Service
products, maintenance program optimization exercises and Parking & Storage)
● Scheduled Maintenance Services: Support the operation and maintenance of all
Airbus aircraft and all customers worldwide, from development of initial requirements to
deviation management and optimization of maintenance tasks.
● GSE Engineering: Engineering activities related to GSE & Tools (including Design,
Services, Manufacturing Engineering & Front desk) for all Airbus aircraft and all
customers worldwide
Job description
The Cabin Retrofit department is part of the Retrofit Solutions organization.
In the context of Aircraft retrofit solutions we are providing our customers with a safe and reliable cabin in accordance with their requests. Each retrofit project is unique and can range from a small change to a complete cabin retrofit. You will work in a transnational organization with interfaces to Customer Service, Engineering, Program and other departments.
As HO( Head of) Cabin Retrofit - India , you will build and manage a team working on
A350 Cabin Retrofit Deals .
In this position you will directly contribute to the success of our customers operation by providing support and deliverables related to maintenance & retrofit for Airbus Commercial aircraft.(A350 Program)
You will report operationally to the HO Retrofit Solutions- India (AISBMR) and functionally to the HO Cabin Retrofit (A350).
The job holder will be responsible for building a team with a total of approx. 30 people with the right skills and competence to deliver the solutions in the business of A350 Cabin retrofit. In addition the need to connect and collaborate with teams at Airbus Germany & Airbus France. As were maintaining a certain level of subcontracting, close management of subcontractors is also a part of the responsibility.

Experience:
Master’s or a Bachelor's degree in engineering
Minimum 5 years progressive experience in leadership or direct supervision within the aeronautics industry
Accomplished operational leader with experience in building and managing a team
Experience in Cabin ( Engineering or Retrofit) related would be a plus
