Drive the Transformation journey of the Accounting Function in Airbus Helicopters in Marignane

The Head of Finance Transformation and Systems - Accounting and Consolidation for the Helicopter division will lead the development and execution of the finance transformation initiatives for the end to end Accounting processes. The future incumbent will drive process optimisation, standardisation, and digital enablement to enhance the efficiency of the financial operations and accuracy of the financial data, creating a solid ERP foundation in all of our entities worldwide. S/he will collaborate on the evolution of the organisational design and employee upskilling to adapt to new ways of working with the new digital solutions and foster organisational change. This position will report to the Head of Airbus Helicopter Finance Transformation and Systems.

This role will work closely with the Accounting stakeholders in various countries, Airbus Group Finance Transformation team, Helicopter and Airbus Group IT organisations, and other functions involved in the overall business transformation of the Helicopter division.

Your challenges:

  • Lead a team of finance process and systems experts located in Marignane and Donauworth (currently 6 positions) supporting various projects and the end-user community in the “business as usual” accounting processes.
  • Define the team charter, governance and ways of working internally, with the broader Finance transformation organisation and with the internal customers.
  • Attract, retain and develop talent to build a skilled, agile, and future-ready finance workforce.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting leadership team to understand and anticipate the functional evolution ambition and create/maintain a forward-looking transformation roadmap in close collaboration with the Airbus Group.
  • Define processes for identifying and prioritizing current/future initiatives as well as measuring and fostering business value creation.
  • Lead larger projects (e.g., Finance New ERP project) and continuous improvement initiatives within the Accounting function in strong partnership with the internal customers.
  • Manage at the divisional level the portfolio of the accounting related initiatives led by the Airbus Group (e.g., consolidation process, e-Invoicing, etc.).
  • Drive alignment across a diverse stakeholder group from Finance, IT, and other functions (e.g., involved in P2P and O2C processes).
  • Drive digital innovations within the Accounting perimeter using low-/no-code technologies like RPA, AI. etc.
  • Lead change management initiatives related to finance transformation projects and upskilling, ensuring sustainable adoption of new processes and related digital solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant financial regulations and support the Finance function in remaining compliant with changing and emerging requirements (e.g. CSRD).


Your profile:

  • Experience in finance transformation, accounting and leading large-scale transformation projects within a challenging international environment.
  • Knowledge of the financial processes and the ERP eco-system (e.g., SAP or equivalent).
  • Combination of the digital transformation expertise, leadership and strong social competencies.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and collaborate with key stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in English command.
