Job Description:

A vacancy for a AAR Systems - Design & Certification Specialist has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space. The successful applicant will join the Fuel Delivery system department within AAR Engineering Domain. At TADYR1 we are responsible for the Hose&Drogue systems and fuel systems devoted to In flight Refueling.

In the context of the military aircraft, we are part of a multiskilled engineering team who are mastering the current AAR systems worldwide but also shaping what the in flight Air Refuelling systems will look like in the years to come. In this context, our team is involved in R&T and R&D projects within Airbus.

This position will give the applicant the opportunity to develop technologies and prototypes that will be tested in actual Airbus aircraft. For this, we seek an engineer able to support with simulations& modelling and/or rapid prototyping and/or mechatronics design. We want to expand data analytics capabilities as well.

Task and Responsibilities:

Your main activities will include:

  • Support the current and future R&D and R&T projects within the AAR perimeter, by modelling and designing
  • Prepare the design reviews from PDR to CDR and TRR
  • Defining test requirements, supporting execution, and test analysis and reports preparation, at component and system level.
  • Elaborating relevant documentation to support permit to fly of the developments.


Skills and Experience:

The candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • At least 3 years of previous related work experience.
  • Aeronautical engineering degree (or equivalent 5-year degree in mechanical o electrical engineering).
  • Mechatronics demonstrated experience.
  • Autonomy combined with ability to work in a team.
  • Negotiation level of English.
  • Matlab simulink

  • Data analytics tools experience.

  • Experience in R&D projects.
  • Experience in flight line/production environment.
  • Good capacity of adaptation.
  • Proactivity to solve issues.
  • Communication skills.
