An opportunity for a Facilities, Maintenance & Energy Management Engineer has arisen within Airbus Operations, El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz).
The selected candidate will join the FMRE (Facility Management and Real Estate) Team. Our mission is to guarantee the seamless operation, safety, and efficiency of Airbus infrastructure. You will be part of a multidisciplinary and strategic team focused on business continuity and sustainability. The challenge lies in balancing complex technical maintenance with ambitious energy efficiency goals (ISO 50001), ensuring our sites are ready for the future of aerospace manufacturing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The main tasks of the jobholder will be:
- Sustainability & Efficiency: Lead turnkey projects for energy and water saving, harmonizing procedures to achieve divisional sustainability targets.
- Infrastructure Excellence: Manage and maintain facilities and technical equipment to guarantee a safe environment and 100% business continuity for production.
- Supplier & Contract Management: Lead maintenance suppliers and lump-sum contracts, monitoring performance through KPIs and SLAs to ensure delivery on time, quality, and cost.
- Energy Strategy: Maintain and promote the ISO 50001 Certification, managing the site's energy inventory and ensuring all new investments meet high efficiency standards.
- Financial Oversight: Manage annual OpEx and CapEx budgets, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and continuous improvement across Spanish sites.
- Digital Transformation: Drive the digitalization of maintenance processes through the intensive use of CMMS and energy data tools (BMS, eSight).
SKILLS

- Education: Master’s Degree in Industrial or Aeronautical Engineering (MECES 3 / EQF 7 level).
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Maintenance, Energy Management, or Sustainability within industrial environments.
- Technical knowledge: Proven experience with ISO 50001 standards, energy markets, and digital tools for Facility Management (CMMS/BMS).
- Soft skills: Analytical mindset, negotiation skills, and a proactive approach toward customer satisfaction and innovation.
- Languages: Advanced level in English and Spanish (Fluency is required).
- Valuable / Nice to have: Experience in multicultural environments and availability for occasional travel to other Airbus sites in Spain.
