Job Objectives

The FHS-TSP Senior Commercial Specialist manages the commercial execution of A380 Base Maintenance under the Singapore Airlines (SIA) FHS-TSP contract and oversees warranty management for both SIA A380 and Scoot A320 fleets. This role ensures timely, accurate Additional Work (AW) validation, rigorous MRO man-hour vetting, and disciplined execution of technical
warranty claims and A380 Interface Manual processes. By coordinating with SIA, Scoot, SIAEC, and internal functions, the position delivers measurable cost control, KPI compliance, and operational continuity for Airbus’s most complex support programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Base Maintenance AW Execution: Manage end-to-end validation and closure of A380 Base-Maintenance AW with full traceability to contract scope.
  • Man-Hour Commercial Vetting and Negotiation: Lead systematic review/adjudication of MRO-charged man-hours; identify/remove duplications or overcharging; negotiate corrections with SIA/SIAEC/MRO counterparts.
  • Warranty Management (SIA A380 & Scoot A320): Manage the end-to-end warranty claim lifecycle for SIA A380 and Scoot A320 fleets. Coordinate with Engineering and Materials to ensure all warrantable events are captured, documented, and filed within contractual timelines. Negotiate claim settlements
  • with Airbus Warranty Team to maximize cost recovery for the customer.
  • KPI Compliance: Ensure 100% adherence to the invoicing KPIs through structured follow-up, complete documentation, and timely internal approvals.
  • Data Systems & Efficiency: Maintain and enhance the base maintenance man-hour vetting process to improve reviewer productivity and cycle time, with measurable year-on-year efficiency gains.
  • Tripartite Interface Manual Implementation: Execute processes per the A380 Tripartite Interface Manual; manage amendments and ensure operational alignment between Airbus, SIA, and SIAEC.
  • Financial Package Readiness: Prepare cost-validation files, substantiation, and internal endorsements to enable prompt customer invoicing and internal reporting.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as commercial focal with SIAEC, Engineering, Materials and Procurement team to resolve open items and keep schedules on track. Act as the commercial focal point for SIA and Scoot; prepare bi-weekly status reports and lead bimonthly Warranty Committee Meetings (WCM) to update senior management.
  • EPL Feedback: Provide execution-driven inputs to the Exhaustive Part List (EPL) and related planning/engineering discussions for base-maintenance components.
  • Other duties reasonably determined from time to time by the Company.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Support the Customer Program Manager in performance reviews, customer meetings, and contract-related escalations linked to A380 base maintenance.
  • Collaborate with Finance/Business Administration on AW accruals, provisioning, variance explanations, and margin tracking for base checks.
  • Contribute data to Skywise / small apps and internal dashboards improving visibility of execution status, costs, and trends.
  • Mentor interns/new joiners on base-maintenance AW workflows, file quality, and execution discipline.
  • Support internal audits and lessons-learned exercises (documentation, samples, evidence packs).

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Aviation (Management, Business, or Engineering)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace, MRO, or OEM execution
  • Proven AW validation and invoice vetting experience (CID/MID/Lost Parts)
  • Google Workspace and Advanced Excel; strong data management and reconciliation skills
  • Contract literacy; ability to map charges to scope and terms
  • Stakeholder management with customers/MROs; meeting facilitation
  • Evidence-driven negotiation and issue resolution
  • Lean/Six Sigma/PMP
  • Familiarity with SIA and SIAEC operational processes
  • Knowledge of airline/MRO warranty & claims interfaces
  • Use of Skywise, SAP, AMOS/AMASIS, or Power BI/Tableau
  • Internal audit readiness
  • Structured, detail-driven, and calm under operational pressure
  • Strong ownership, follow-through, and escalation discipline
  • Confident, tactful negotiator with external MROs and airline stakeholders
  • Clear communicator; excellent documentation and evidence-building habits
  • Collaborative across functions (Engineering, Materials, Procurement, Finance)
  • Continuous-improvement mindset; comfortable with data and dashboards.
