We are looking for recent graduates from different disciplines interested in developing their professional career in the aeronautical sector. The current context demands different ways of looking, thinking and relating.

The selection process will be during February 2027 until July 2027.

Internship Job Description:

In Performance & Improvement department you will have a first contact with aeronautical business, you will be able to learn about how an aeronautical plant is managed going through the performance management system, you will participate in the definition and monitoring of the KPI's of the performance system, you will be in first hand with AOS Change agents to support them in the deployment of new AOS (Airbus Operating System) standards such as sustainability in addition to work on mature those currently deployed, you will be able to participate in the definition and use of digital tools for shopfloor management and data analytics solutions.

Final project (TFG) to be carried out by the student:

This placement is within the Improvement & Performance department at the Illescas plant, which is well known within the aerospace sector for its high level of automation.

Internship Stages & Objectives

  • Phase 1: Induction & System Familiarization
    • Learn and understand the operation of the Airbus Operating System (AOS), a structured system encompassing various continuous improvement tools and standardized routines (periodic meetings with defined agendas).
  • Phase 2: Shop Floor Monitoring

  • Analyze key stakeholder attendance, meeting content, and overall routine efficiency.
  • Initial focus: Target routines directly linked to machine performance.
  • Phase 3: Analysis & Action Plan
    • Prepare a comprehensive report evaluating the different routines, detailing a SWOT/Strengths & Weaknesses analysis.
    • Develop an action plan aimed at boosting efficiency, addressing both technical aspects and the cultural change management approach.
  • Final Thesis Deliverables

    At the end of the internship, the intern will present a final thesis containing:

    An assessment report on the current state of the operational routines.

    A detailed action plan to improve routine efficiency.

    The concrete steps taken to enhance the deployment of AOS across the production lines.
