An opportunity for a Eurodrone Airworthiness & Certification Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).

The selected candidate will join an international and multidisciplinary team dedicated to the military certification process of the Eurodrone, a cutting-edge European MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) RPAS program. This role offers a unique challenge to act as a Designated Airworthiness Engineer (DAE) within the Airbus Design Organization Approval (DOA) framework. You will work in close coordination with the design office, Chief Engineers, Compliance Verification Engineers (CVE), and Program Organizations, while interfacing directly with Airworthiness Authorities and international customers to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities:

The main tasks of the jobholder will be:

  • Establish the applicable certification basis and compliance frameworks specifically for the Eurodrone program.
  • Prepare and manage Certification Plans and relevant documentation in close coordination with technical specialists and CVEs.
  • Present and negotiate certification plans and means of compliance directly in front of Airworthiness Authorities.
  • Participate in design revision processes to actively verify compliance with military airworthiness requirements.
  • Provide technical support to the DOA Management domain for updating procedures linked to Eurodrone airworthiness.
  • Ensure all certification documents and communications strictly comply with export control regulations.

  • Education: Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Professional experience in aeronautical systems, airworthiness frameworks, or operational manuals.
  • Technical knowledge: General knowledge of aircraft systems and awareness of export control regulations.
  • Soft skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, high adaptability to international environments, and strong willingness to learn.
  • Languages: Advanced level of English (mandatory).
  • Requirements: Eligibility for national security clearance by recognized authorities.
