We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Ethics & Compliance Manager (d/f/m) to join our dynamic team in Hamburg Finkenwerder .

Your Chance

You will join the Ethics & Compliance team for Airbus Commercial in Germany, which works in an international set-up and in close collaboration with the central Ethics & Compliance Programme Office in Toulouse and other Airbus entities.

The role focuses on ensuring a comprehensive Compliance Management System, developing means to prevent, detect, and mitigate ethical and compliance risks, and strengthening our culture of integrity. Together with your team members in Germany, your perimeter of responsibilities includes Airbus Operations GmbH and its subsidiaries, and you will lead international projects within the Ethics & Compliance organisation.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your workplace is located in Rüschpark, not far from the plant in Finkenwerder. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Ensure the effective implementation comprehensive Ethics & Compliance program (guidelines, training, communication, etc.) to strengthen our culture of integrity and maintain the highest standards.
  • Lead compliance investigations and represent Airbus in communications with external law firms, authorities, and business partners, protecting the company from risks.
  • Lead and participate in national and international projects for defining, implementing, and monitoring internal E&C guidelines and rules.
  • Advise employees and management at all levels on legal compliance issues and prepare legal analyses.
  • Evaluate and approve compliance requests within operational E&C processes (e.g., conflicts of interest, due diligence reviews, sponsorships).
  • Anticipate and assess Ethics & Compliance risks and define mitigation measures within the Airbus Enterprise Risk Management System.


If you fulfill all requirements you can expect a yearly gross salary between 118.000€ and 124.000€.

Desired skills and qualifications

We are looking for an inspiring professional who possesses the following:

  • Legal Expertise and Experience: You are a fully qualified lawyer (d/f/m) and bring several years of professional experience as a compliance manager, corporate lawyer, or attorney to the team.
  • Investigative & Audit Track Record: Demonstrated experience in conducting compliance, internal investigations, and audits.
  • Process and Change Acumen: Profound experience in process design, change management, and developing/deploying internal training and workshops.
  • Communication & Influence: You possess exceptional assertiveness, persuasiveness, and presentation skills, adapt your communication to your audience, complemented by strong teamwork abilities.
  • Integrity and Role Modeling: You are recognized for your integrity and act as a role model for living the Airbus values and integrity principles.
  • Language Skills: Negotiation-level fluency in both German and English is required.
