In order to manage current and future projects, Airbus Helicopters is looking for you to join the team in Donauwörth as soon as possible as our new

Configuration Management Business Analyst (d/f/m)

You will join the Engineering Digital Methods & Tools (ETEM) department.

We collaborate with and work closely with Information Management, Central Transformation and Digital Transformation Office organizations to lead business transformation within Airbus Helicopters Engineering.We are a transnational team in France and Germany who believe in empowering our people, in simplifying our processes and tools and driving innovation.

Your location

At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities

The End-to-End (E2E) Configuration Squad delivers all necessary digital products, systems, and services required by the Configuration Management function to achieve its operational objectives across all Helicopter (H/C) programs.

  • Translating business needs into IT requirements, proactively identifying opportunities for business development, and contributing to our digital transformation roadmap.
  • Developing a solid understanding of the customer's existing business processes (ideally end-to-end), the key drivers and measures of success, and the short- and long-term strategic direction of the business and related technologies.
  • Formulating functional and non-functional requirements for the business organization and advising on the lifecycle of information solutions.
  • Evaluating the impact of these solutions in terms of change management.
  • Collaborating with the IT Product Manager while ensuring that developed solutions align with evolving customer needs.
  • Identifying areas for improvement in business processes by providing IT solutions and concepts compliant with the IT strategy.
  • Supporting the IT Product Manager in product/service planning based on customer requirements.
  • Producing documentation of current challenges, future requirements, and benefits in a format appropriate for the customer (e.g., methods, guides, and training materials).
  • Serving as a liaison between Product Management teams and technical resources during development and implementation to ensure the integrity of the delivered solution.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree (Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent) with extensive professional experience and further specialized training, or a PhD following the degree program.
  • Alternatively: Completed Master’s degree (Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering) with extended professional experience and further education or a PhD.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience.
  • Strong background in Processes, Methods & Tools (PM&T) related to PLM (e.g., detailed design, configuration management, certification).
  • Experience in design activities and the creation of definition dossiers within an Engineering Office, ideally in the aeronautics industry.
  • Proficiency in process modeling and digitalization.
  • Ability to work effectively in a transnational environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German and French are a plus.
  • A problem-solving mindset: fully solution-oriented and curious to develop innovative concepts.
