Airbus Helicopters is looking for an experienced NDT Engineer (m/f) to join our LMP "Materials & Processes Laboratory" based in Marignane, France.

For Airbus Helicopters in Marignane, within the LMP "Materials & Processes Laboratory" for the "Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) & Simulation Development" department, we are looking for an " Experienced NDT Engineer (m/f) in Ultrasound and/or Eddy Currents ".

The Materials and Processes Laboratory supports engineering and production at all major stages of a helicopter's development and is responsible for the research and development of new materials and production processes, process simulation and new inspection methods, as well as continuous industrial support and support & service delivery.

The main missions of the "NDT Development and Simulation" department are the implementation of advanced and customized Non-Destructive Testing solutions, the definition of reference instructions, their qualification, and the associated technical support.

Your challenges:

  • Responsibility for reference standards in the field of NDT (definition, inspection, and qualification).
  • Level 3 activities on certain NDT methods.
  • Expertise and Technical Support for internal production and suppliers (non-conformity, range validation, etc...).
  • Managing development projects for new NDT methods with a project manager role (coordination, monitoring, budget, planning, communication).
  • Validation of internal/external technical documentation, e.g., inspection procedures / qualifications / reports.
  • Performing internal/external audits for the qualification and monitoring of NDT special processes.
  • Execution and preparation of NDT methods training for internal and external customers.


Your profile:

  • Materials Engineer degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in NDT .
  • Level 3 certification in one or more NDT methods, or a confirmed Level 2 certification.
  • Knowledge of aeronautical quality standards is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of production and service needs in terms of NDT.
  • NADCAP knowledge and knowledge of personnel certification appreciated.
  • Qualification as an auditor appreciated.
