Airbus Helicopters (AH) is looking for the next Helicopter Flight Recorder Function Responsible (f/m) based in Marignane, France.

Within the Computers & Electronics department of the Systems division, you will manage end-to-end the development of the recording function for civil and military helicopters.

The scope of embedded recorders is wide : from the CVFDR (Cockpit Voice and Flight Data Recorder) used for incident and accident investigations to video recorders used to replay Helicopter operational missions. In the latest systems, a focus has been put on the integration of video cameras in the helicopters.

For future helicopters, the design of the recording function will continue to significantly evolve with the integration of new technologies : data on the core networks, video on IP, shared mass memory resources...

Your challenges:
Within this scope, you will manage the following activities :
- Establish and write the functional specifications based on the operational regulations and the needs and goals of AH Aviation Safety
- Define the design of the recording function
- Define the integration drawings and the installation constraints
- Undertake the verification activities and solve the problems that are arising
- Demonstrate compliance to certification and operational regulations requirements
- Define the future design of the recording function with the avionic architects
- Improve the maturity of the technology building blocks for the future design
- Manage the subcontracted activities

Your profile:
We are looking for candidates with the following skills:
- Good knowledge in electronics, video technologies, and avionic systems

- Passion for Aeronautics and for Aviation Safety

- Ability to manage multiple interfaces and communication with many other departments within the design office

- Good communication & organization skills, ability to work on several projects at the same time, and autonomous way of working

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
