Job Description:

As an Air Data System (ADS) development responsible , you will be a key contributor to developing and supporting the actual and the next generation of avionics systems that determine a helicopter's critical flight environment data. This role is at the intersection of advanced sensing technology and aviation safety, ensuring our helicopters achieve safer and more robust flight characteristics and ultimately increased flight autonomy.

You will manage the entire lifecycle of the ADS, from initial concept and supplier selection through to system integration, rigorous testing, certification, and in-service support.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)

This is a comprehensive system-level role. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Architecture definition: Define the functional architecture for new ADS developments based on precise aircraft / operational needs
  • System Development: Manage the end-to-end component/equipment development process for assigned aircraft, ensuring alignment with all internal and external (regulatory) requirements
  • Technical Management: Lead the definition of system functions and internal interfaces, ensuring seamless connection between the ADS and other helicopter systems.
  • Supplier & Trade-Off Management: Select, manage, and oversee technical activities of external suppliers. Conduct detailed trade-off studies to recommend the most optimal technical solution for the aircraft.
  • Testing & Certification: Plan and execute necessary ground and flight tests. Prepare required documentation and actively support the certification process to obtain final equipment approval from aviation authorities.
  • Future Technology Assessment: Assess and prototype new technologies -including systems based on video, acoustic, or radiofrequency-to define the roadmap for the next generation of ADS
  • In-Service Support: Provide essential technical support during the production phase and for any in-service issues related to the ADS equipment
  • Maintenance strategy: Contribute to the definition and planning of the equipment maintenance concept.


What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications)

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or a closely related technical field (e.g., Aerospace, Electrical Engineering).
  • Experience: Proven experience in the development of electronic equipment for aeronautical/avionics applications .
  • Specific Technical Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of Air Data sensing and processing (e.g., Pitot probes, static ports) and positioning systems (e.g., inertial reference systems, GPS).


Skills & Attributes

  • Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and convince stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Languages: Negotiation-level proficiency in English (oral and written) is mandatory. Knowledge of French is a significant plus.
  • Computer Skills: Advanced user of standard MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for technical documentation and reporting.
