Description of the job: Engineering project manager (m/f) within Airbus Helicopter Japan
AHJ is one of the largest Customer Center Design Offices dedicated to Airbus Helicopters customizations. Its engineering department studies and develops various modifications and specific solutions for the Japanese domestic market and the Asia-Pacific region. The Engineering Project Manager occupies a central role for the technical coordination of Helicopters customization offers and projects.
Tasks & accountabilities:
Within the Engineering Project team, your responsibilities will be the management of engineering activities, customer requirements analysis and helicopter configurations definition in connection with various
customization offers for the Japanese domestic market and Asia-Pacific region. Your tasks will be:
● Management of customization engineering aspects (for offers and projects)
● Assessment of technical specifications and compliance matrix
● Definition of design specification and feasibility studies
● Definition of offer quotation for engineering aspects
● Management of Airbus Helicopters, Customer Support, Marketing, Design Office and Supplier interfaces
● Management of engineering projects of customisation solution development including design reviews, testing and certification.
● Management of resource, schedule and cost of the engineering department for each project.
This role may involve some travel for business within the Asia Pacific Region (APAC) or worldwide and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.


Required skills:
You have the following skills and experience:
● Educated to an Engineering Degree or Equivalent
● Preferably five years of work experience in aerospace technical project management
● Understanding of helicopters general architecture and subsystems (airframe, radio-com-nav, vehicle, electrical,…)
● Understanding of general airworthiness, safety and design requirements
● Ability to translate customer requirements into engineering solutions
● Ability to interface with engineering teams and discuss complex technical matters clearly and simply
● Good communication skills - ability to work with different cultures
● This position requires a great deal of flexibility, rigorous organization and autonomy
● Negotiation level in English and Japanese is mandatory

Experience level:
Junior, mid career or experimented professional

仕事内容:エアバス・ヘリコプターズ・ジャパンにおける技術プロジェクトマネージャー
AHJは設計能力をもつ世界屈指のカスタマーセンターとして、エアバスヘリコプターズの改造に従事しております。日本国内およびアジア・太平洋地域のマーケットにおいて、お客様のご要望に応じたソリューションを提供すべく、AHJ技術部は研究調査から改造設計まで幅広く行っております。ヘリコプターの改造提案や改造プロジェクトにおいて、技術ロジェクトマネージャーは技術調整の中心的役割を担っています。
職務と責任範囲
技術プロジェクトチームの中で、日本国内およびアジア太平洋地域の市場に向けての様々な改造提案に関連する技術作業の管理、お客様のご要望の分析とヘリコプターの形態の定義が、責任範囲です。
職務内容は以下の通りです。
● 改造提案及び改造プロジェクトにおける技術的側面の管理
● 技術要求仕様と適合表の評価分析
● 設計仕様の明確化とフィージビリティスタディ
● 技術作業の見積
● エアバス・ヘリコプターズの本社、カスタマーサポート部門、マーケティング部門、設計部
門ならびにお客様の間の各種調整
● デザインレビュー、試験に加え航空局からの承認取得を含む、改造プロジェクトの技術管理
● 各改造プロジェクトにおける技術部門のリソース、日程及びコストの管理
職務遂行のためにアジア太平洋地域内もしくはその他世界各地への出張が必要になる場合があり、技術プロジェクトマネージャーは出張対応が可能でなければなりません。
必要な能力
以下の能力および経験が必要です。
● 工学学士号もしくは同等の学位
● 航空分野における技術系プロジェクトマネージメント5年以上の経験が望ましい
● ヘリコプターの全体構造とそれを構成するサブシステムの知識(機体構造、無線やナビゲーションなどの通信装置、制御系統、電気系統)
● 耐空性、安全性および設計要求に関する知識
● お客様の要望を技術的解決策に変換する能力
● 複雑な技術的問題について明確かつ簡潔に設計チームと調整する能力
● 高いコミュニケーション能力、特に異文化をまたいだ調整力
● 高い柔軟性、厳格な姿勢ならびに自律性
● 英語力と日本語力は交渉可能なレベルが必須
経験の度合
経験の浅い方、中程度の経験者、経験豊富な専門家
