We are looking for an Engineering Data Management Specialist (Early career) to become part of the Airbus Defence and Space Romania team.

Mission: Special subtype of system engineering with the focus on a transversal Engineering specialty: Engineering Data Management. Collaborates closely with the Chief Engineer / engineering project manager of different systems/system elements for Airbus Defence and Space applying the most efficient and innovative technologies to create reports based on custom data and applying the agile methodologies in order to support the performance of the development teams.

Areas of impact: Business intelligence, report creation, interactive dashboards, agile management, KPI reporting, software development lifecycles, technical documentation processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the definition, set up, support and maintenance of the Atlassian tools, standards, process and deliverables
  • Defines / manages the specific deliverables for the specialty area, in accordance to the project life cycle or engineering organization’s needs
  • Participates into definition of supporting life cycle processes that balance cost, schedule, and performance objectives
  • Develop policies and techniques for gathering and analysing data
  • Visualise and analyse Jira metrics for Agile, Kanban and other methodologies using basic JQL, eazyBI (including MDX) and excel VBA
  • Organise and present training, workshops and demos on topics related to the used tools;
  • Facilitate Scrum events;
  • Implement Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid) for engineering and software development teams;
  • Remove impediments within the team;
  • Based on business needs, occasional travel within and outside the country may be required.


Requirements:

Skills

  • Experience in IT / System Engineering technical domain with IT technical background (e.g. Software, Computer Science)
  • Basic experience / knowledge with Agile Project Management Tools (Confluence, Jira, Big Picture, Easy BI), Project Management Tools (Ms Office, Action items tracking, Risk management) and Project Management Processes - at least one project management tool or experience in Agile tools are a must (e.g. Jira / Big Picture / Easy BI or similar others)
  • Experience with data analysis, integration and reporting from various systems
  • Ability to easily communicate and interact with stakeholders (Chief Engineers, Project Managers, Work Package Managers etc.) - the role is transversal and assumes communication with various managers and teams, most communication needs to be handled remotely
  • Fluent in English, ideally basic German or French


Specific knowledge

  • Ability to understand and use basic scripts related to the tools mentioned above (Jira - JQL, eazyBI MDX and Confluence Macros) or Power BI
  • Administration and configuration of Atlassian tools (eazyBI , Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket);
  • Knowledge on Software development processes and / or hardware, engineering, Agile way of working, Jira / Confluence
  • Basic knowledge on the Specialty area: Project Management or Agile methodologies (SCRUM, KANBAN)
