Job Summary**

Airbus Defence and Space SAU is seeking an Electrical & Lighting System Design Office Engineer with strong simulation skills to contribute to the design, development, and integration of electrical and lighting systems for advanced aerospace platforms. This role involves conceptual design, detailed engineering, analysis, and verification using simulation tools.

Job Responsibilities**

* Design and develop electrical power distribution systems, wiring harnesses, and lighting systems for various aerospace applications, adhering to industry standards and company specifications.
* Perform detailed electrical load analysis, power budget calculations, and fault tree analysis to ensure system integrity and reliability.
* Utilize advanced simulation software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, PLECS, CATIA V5/V6 Electrical) to model, analyze, and optimize electrical and lighting system performance, including transient behavior, power quality, and thermal effects.
* Generate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness designs, and detailed component specifications.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical design, avionics, software, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of electrical and lighting systems.
* Support the definition of test procedures and participate in the testing and validation of electrical and lighting systems, both in simulation and on physical prototypes.
* Identify and resolve technical issues and discrepancies during the design, development, and integration phases.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical design processes, tools, and methodologies.
* Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience (typically 4+ years) in electrical system design and development, preferably within the aerospace or defense industry.
* Demonstrated proficiency in electrical design tools and software, including CAD tools for schematics and harness design (e.g., CATIA V5/V6 Electrical, SEE Electrical).
* Strong expertise in electrical simulation software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, PLECS, or similar) for power electronics, circuit analysis, or system-level simulation.
* Solid understanding of aerospace electrical standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., MIL-STD, RTCA DO-160, ARP).
* Experience with lighting system design principles, including photometric analysis and control systems, is a plus.
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and communicate complex technical information clearly.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Spanish language skills are a plus.
