We are looking for recent graduates from different disciplines interested in developing their professional career in the aeronautical sector.The current context demands different ways of looking, thinking and relating.
What does this internship consists in?
Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed an exclusive program (#DISCOVER) designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to be able to develop as professionals of the future.
You will have the opportunity to study a Master, organized in three training blocks, that will allow you to DISCOVER the skills most in demand today. It will be combined with an 11 month internship at Airbus in an area related to your degree, where you can learn and complete your academic background.
The start of the internship will be in early March 2025, and will last 11 months (August disabled for all purposes). It is a full-time experience (40h/week), in which you will receive an attractive study grant.
Internship Job Description:
Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites are widely used in the aircraft industry due to their excellent performance. Inside the frame of Manufacturing Process Simulation (MPS) and Effect of Defect (EoD) department (1ACSNM) is to develop simulation capabilities for manufacturing process of composite parts and the evaluation of quality deviations linked to those processes and materials.
Main activities will be as follows:
Development support of simulation capabilities for the CFRP flow compaction process
Evaluation of different simulation approaches
Virtual Characterization of non-conformities linked to previous process simulation
State of the art of simulation methods for non-conformities in composite.
This internship will allow you to develop following skills:
Discoveries of manufacturing processes of composite materials.
Understanding of aeronautical structures.
Advanced modeling and numerical simulation techniques.
Work in a multidisciplinary team
Required Skills
- Degree in Aeronautical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- English: negotiation level
- Spanish: negotiation level
- Knowledge in Structure Analysis (focus on Finite Element Analysis and Composites materials)
- Skills valued:
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Team spirit and great collaboration skills.
Ability to work in complex and international environments.
