Design Consulting
Job Responsibilities
* Collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, and stakeholders to define design requirements, specifications, and objectives for aerostructure components and systems.
* Conduct in-depth analysis of design concepts, evaluating feasibility, performance, weight, cost, and manufacturability.
* Provide expert guidance and recommendations on material selection, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques to optimize design for performance and efficiency.
* Participate in design reviews, presenting concepts, analysis results, and proposed solutions to internal and external teams.
* Identify and implement innovative design methodologies and technologies to enhance product development and problem-solving.
* Support the resolution of design-related issues during manufacturing and assembly.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and best practices within the organization.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Proven experience in design engineering within the aerospace industry, specifically with aerostructures is a plus.
* Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE, SolidWorks, NX) and experience with PDM/PLM systems.
* Solid understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes (e.g., composites, metallic fabrication), and assembly techniques.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., EASA, FAA).
* Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; knowledge of German is a plus.
