Job Title:

Developer - SAP Native HANA

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Native HANA Developer with strong ABAP knowledge to join our team in delivering digital solutions that support key business processes and technical architecture across Airbus. This role is primarily focused on SAP HANA development, ABAP customizations , and performance optimization.

The position is part of an international, distributed, and multi-functional team using agile methodologies. You will also have the opportunity to learn and work with Skywise and Palantir Foundry tools as part of your professional development and in support of integrated data solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom developments in SAP Native HANA DB using SQLScript, Table Functions, CVs, and Data Base Procedures.
  • Build and maintain ABAP components, ensuring scalable and optimized performance.
  • Analyze and optimize performance of resource-intensive programs and database objects.
  • Perform root cause analysis , debug complex issues, and provide resolution with long-term impact.
  • Audit source code and ensure adherence to Airbus and SAP coding standards.
  • Design and support system interfaces to/from SAP and external systems.
  • Follow SAP best practices and recommend improvements in SAP architecture and development approaches.
  • Operate within a SCRUM/Agile development framework.
  • Engage directly with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver quality outcomes.



Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate with 6-10 years of experience in SAP Native HANA DB development .
  • Solid hands-on experience in ABAP , including performance tuning and debugging.
  • Strong understanding of SAP HANA development tools (HANA Studio, Web IDE).
  • Experience with performance monitoring and optimization of HANA DB programs.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git, HANA internal notes, Web IDE repositories).
  • Good understanding of HANA objects: Table Functions, Calculation Views, Procedures, etc.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Proven experience working in international teams with cross-functional collaboration.



Nice to Have:

  • Programming Languages :
    • Exposure to Python , PySpark , HTML5 , JavaScript is a plus.


Learning Opportunity:

You will have the opportunity to learn and gain Exposure to Skywise/Foundry Tools and technologies as part of project work and team knowledge sharing:

  • Custom data pipeline design using Python and PySpark.
  • Use of Foundry Code Repositories for version control and collaboration.
  • Interaction with Walter for data ingestion from SAP and non-SAP sources.
  • Ontology for defining and managing structured data models.
