Airbus Commercial is looking for an Export Control Compliance Manager - France (f/m) to join our E xport Control department based in Toulouse, France.

The Export Control team supports this commitment by ensuring the consistent implementation of export & sanctions regulations through dedicated processes deployed across the Group, its divisions and controlled subsidiaries, while promoting a strong Export Control culture overall.

As an Export Control Manager in our multinational industrial company, you will be a critical member of the Compliance team, ensuring adherence to all applicable national, European, and international export control regulations. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the daily operational export control processes, mitigate compliance risks, and support the business in achieving its strategic goals while maintaining full legal compliance.

Your challenges:

  • Licensing Management:
    • Manage and process applications for export licenses (dual-use items, military items, sanctions ...) with relevant national authorities.
    • Ensure timely renewal and accurate reporting for all granted licenses.
    • Maintain the central database of all license records and approvals.
  • Classification & Screening :
    • Support the determination and validation of the export classification of products (hardware, software, technology) according to the EU Dual-Use Regulation, the Wassenaar Arrangement, and national control lists .
    • Conduct Restricted Party Screening (RPS) of customers, suppliers, and partners against global sanctions lists and manage subsequent escalations.
    • Perform end-use and end-user checks for high-risk transactions.
  • Operational Support:
    • Advise Engineering incl R&D, Procurement, Digital, Operations and Logistics teams on export control requirements for international transactions, shipments, and technology transfers.
    • Review contracts, quotations, and shipping documentation for compliance with export authorizations.
    • Support the implementation of export control clauses in company contracts.
  • Training & Awareness:
    • Develop and deliver tailored training sessions to employees across various departments on export control policies and procedures.


Your boarding pass:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in an Export Control or Trade Compliance preferably within the industrial, defense, aerospace, or high-tech sectors.
  • Proven knowledge of EU Dual-Use Regulation and French national regulations and procedures (e.g., SBDU, DGA).
  • Solid understanding of international sanctions regimes (EU, UN, US).
  • Knowledge of US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to interpret complex legal texts and apply them practically to commercial operations.
  • Proactive approach to identifying compliance gaps and developing practical solutions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in classification, documentation, and screening processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external government agencies.
  • Language: Fluent professional working proficiency in both French and English (written and verbal) is essential.
