You will join our Digital Infrastructures & Platforms team.

You will be part of a team ensuring the efficient design, deployment, and evolution of Airbus Helicopters’ Major IT infrastructure to support business needs, while maintaining security, performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. As part of the Architecture & Projects team (EIITP), you will act as a crucial link between our IT infrastructure teams and the wider business, supporting all new Digital and Business projects that require foundational IT deployment. This role is essential for enabling the company's digital transformation, ensuring that all new enterprise solutions, applications, and initiatives are underpinned by robust, reliable, and scalable infrastructure components (e.g., network upgrades, server deployments, hosting configuration, and new IT service implementation).

This position requires a senior-level professional adept at translating business needs into technical infrastructure requirements and driving the resulting projects to successful, timely completion.

Accountabilities

You will report directly to the EIITP (Enterprise Infrastructure and IT Projects) entity, which is dedicated to leading and executing architectural and project initiatives across our infrastructure domain.

YOUR CHALLENGES

As the Project Manager for business and digital project enablement, you will be responsible for the full project lifecycle of infrastructure workstreams within larger corporate projects. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Project Planning & Tracking: Develop, monitor, and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and action registers for all assigned infrastructure workstreams.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating critical items to relevant stakeholders and management as required.
  • Methodology Compliance: Prepare and lead official project milestones in strict compliance with our internal project methodology standards.
  • Actor Coordination: Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary teams, including internal IT teams, external vendors, business unit representatives, and technical experts.
  • Budget Oversight: Track project expenditure and resource utilization against the approved budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Establish and maintain clear, consistent communication channels with all project stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and status reports.

SKILLS

  • Project leadership: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience managing complex, cross divisional IT infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on Infrastructure deployments (network, server, cloud, or digital workplace).
  • Technical Knowledge: Proven and very good knowledge of all core infrastructure components and technologies (e.g., LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, virtualization, end-user computing, etc.).
  • Communication: Demonstrated ability to manage expectations and communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior business leadership.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

The following qualifications could be a plus:

  • Professional certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.).
  • Certification or practical experience with service management best practices (ITIL Foundation or higher).
  • Prior experience supporting cross-functional business or digital transformation programs.

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
