In order to support Configuration Services, Airbus is looking for a:

Business Analyst - Configuration Management (d/f/m)

Join our core IM function where sustainable IT transforms how we design, build, and service aircraft. You will be part of the "Configuration Services" department (DPCS) , a key pillar in delivering harmonized PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) tools. Our team is at the heart of major digital transformations like DDMS and the Capital Step 2 project, ensuring the high-rate production of tomorrow’s aircraft in a protected and innovative environment.

Your Location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Solution Design: Define technical/functional designs for application and infrastructure components, ensuring alignment with organizational business goals and long-term strategic planning.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary bridge between Product Management (Business & IM) and technical teams to ensure the integrity of delivered solutions.
  • Product Planning: Support the IT Product Manager in service planning based on customer requirements and produce documentation for future requirements and benefits.
  • Lifecycle Participation: Lead activities across all phases of the application development lifecycle, including research, design, testing, and implementation.
  • Quality Management: Implement quality requirements (M20543) within the Agile Release Train (ART) and foster "Built-In Quality" engineering practices.
  • Architecture Strategy: Define solution models and patterns to guide decision-making and assist in defining the future direction for IT products and services.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Electrical Steering Functional Architect and cross-functional teams to expand electrical capabilities and deploy the APS System.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Degree in Information Technology, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a related field with professional experience in Business Analysis.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven experience in Configuration Steering (ideally SA program/electrical layer), Product Structure, and Data Distribution.
  • Methodology: Strong knowledge of the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology and experience with Product Owner activities.
  • Technical Awareness: Experience on Airbus Information system and in particular with Airbus PLM (for instances on tools such as PASS, APS, 3DExperience). ability to engage in technical discussions with developers while maintaining a business-first mindset (technical fluency on code, relational database, service oriented architecture)
  • Communication: Advanced communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for audiences ranging from senior management to developers.
  • Mindset: Collaborative, curious about aircraft business technologies, and a proactive "visionary" approach to IT services.
  • Languages: English at an advanced level (reading, speaking, writing).
