Job Description

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Cabin Purchasing Manager (m/f) to join the Cabin Procurement department based in Toulouse.

You will join a dynamic team of 12 buyers located across Toulouse, Lisbon, and Mirabel, managing a global supplier footprint spanning Europe, the USA, and Asia. We operate transversally, collaborating closely with colleagues from Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Fleet Management, and Marketing. At Airbus, collaboration is the heartbeat of our daily operations both internally and with our external partners.

Within Cabin Procurement, our mission is to deliver competitive, innovative, and sustainable seating solutions to airlines. By ensuring a fast time-to-market, we directly enhance the market positioning of Airbus aircraft. Our product portfolio encompasses passenger seating, including associated monuments, as well as cabin crew seating.

As a Seats Procurement Buyer, you will go beyond the traditional purchasing role. You will be responsible for end-to-end supplier relationship management while leading cross-functional projects. These initiatives will allow you to broaden your expertise across the entire seating supplier landscape and the wider cabin procurement ecosystem.

Your working environment:

Global capital of aeronautics and European capital for space research, Toulouse is a dynamic city in the southwest of France served by an international airport. Ideally located between the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean and close to the Pyrenees mountains, it offers plenty of options for outdoor activities!

How we care for you:

  • Financial rewards: Attractive salary, agreements on success and profit sharing schemes, employee savings plan abounded by Airbus and employee stock purchase plan on a voluntary basis.
  • Work / Life Balance: Extra days-off for special occasions, holiday transfer option, a Staff council offering many social, cultural and sport activities and other services.
  • Wellbeing / Health: Complementary health insurance coverage (disability, invalidity, death). Depending on the site: health services center, concierge services, gym, carpooling application.
  • Individual development: Great upskilling opportunities and development prospects with unlimited access to +10.000 e-learning courses to develop your employability, certifications, expert career path, accelerated development programmes, national and international mobility.

At Airbus, we support you to work, connect and collaborate more easily and flexibly. Wherever possible, we foster flexible working arrangements to stimulate innovative thinking.

Your challenges:

Scope: 50 contracts, 130+ distinct seat models, including passenger and cabin crew seating.

  • Drive seat contract execution across all aircraft programs, ensuring supplier performance and full alignment with Airbus procedures and global strategy.
  • Build and maintain robust partnerships with key global seating suppliers to ensure maximum satisfaction for both internal programs and airline customers.
  • Deploy cabin strategies in coordination with Multi-Functional Teams within a high-innovation environment.
  • Lead cross-functional teams for assigned suppliers, overseeing performance, risk & opportunity management, innovation, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Control supplier delivery against contractual obligations and chair regular Performance Review Meetings.
  • Handle supplier claims and requests by developing and executing targeted negotiation strategies.
  • Lead international Requests for Proposal and conduct comprehensive market studies as required.
  • Spearhead strategic projects to optimize the cabin procurement ecosystem.

Your boarding pass:

  • At least 5 years of experience in industrial procurement, specifically managing high-value portfolios (Cabin/Seats experience is a strong asset) or leading strategic supplier relationships.
  • Proven track record in coordinating Multi-Functional Teams Engineering, Quality, Program-through influence and leadership without direct hierarchical authority.
  • Expert knowledge of cost-reduction levers, including Design-to-Cost and Total Cost of Ownership , as well as Recurring Cost performance monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace certification constraints (EASA/FAA) and safety standards specific to cabin interiors and equipment.
  • Good user of SAP (MM/PP modules), e-sourcing platforms (e.g., AirSupply), and Google Workspace collaborative tools.
  • Fluent English is mandatory for autonomous high-level international negotiations and contract drafting.
  • Sharp focus on On-Time Delivery (OTD) and Quality (OQD) within a fast-paced, high-volume production environment (Ramp-up).
