Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Cabin and Cargo Furnishing Engineer (f/m) to join our Cabin & Cargo (“C&C”) Mise au Point (“MAP”) Engineering department in Airbus in Toulouse.

You will be part of a team developing engineering solutions through Design change processes in collaboration with the relevant Airbus & RSP (“Risk Sharing Partner”) design office teams. As part of the C&C Furnishing MAP team for A320/A330/A350 , you will be involved in troubleshooting support for any Non Conformities and we provide engineering assessment for the concessions occurring at Pre-Final Assembly Line (“FAL”), FAL, Flight Test and Delivery.

We liaise with different internal and external customers like Manufacturing Engineering, plants, engineering, Flight test engineers, Airbus & RSP design offices, customers representatives, airlines, procurement and all other stakeholders close to the A/C assembly, testing and delivery process.

Your challenges:

  • You will be technically responsible for all local engineering support activities, and will lead modification activities for the C&C furnishing programs.
  • You will ensure on-time delivery of safety, technical and quality requirements, validation & verification of engineering solutions with final authorization (delegation authority from COE, COC) if required.
  • You will fulfill the overall program and airworthiness objectives within your perimeter. It includes new developments, product improvements, continued airworthiness and customization.
  • You will ensure that all engineering related issues at FAL, Customer lines, Delivery and Flight Test are treated with the right priority in order to maintain industrial / certification planning as program decisions. You will lead training and awareness sessions.
  • You will provide engineering statements and assessments and will provide MAP expertise and inputs to design domains, programs and chief engineering for Top Level Requirements (“TLR”) of new C&C Furnishing developments. you will act as the entry point of engineering domains for any test requests in FAL and flight test
  • You will be responsible for the back office of offshore MAP offices (FAL China)


This position requires some on-call duties and traveling to our premises in Hamburg, Germany.

Your boarding pass

  • You have an engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • You are can demonstrate proven experience with CATIA
  • You are diplomatic and able to synthetize / vulgarize complex information
  • You have the ability to work in a demanding and fast changing environment
  • You have the ability to work with all hierarchical levels of the organization
  • You have an advanced level of English. An intermediate level of French and/or German would be a plus.
