Description of the role:

The Junior Business Developer is responsible for supporting the commercial approach and business development during a transformative period for Public Safety Communications. The role focuses on assisting in the preparation of offers, identifying new market opportunities, and reinforcing the Airbus SLC presence within the Mexican ecosystem.

Key Accountabilities (Duties & Responsibilities)

  • Account Support (IRIS): Provide support in the preparation and realization of commercial offers for IRIS evolution projects, including the Agnet portfolio.
  • Market Expansion: Assist in identifying new opportunities and approaching new customers in complementary markets such as Transport, Utilities, Infrastructure (TUI), and Defense.
  • Sales Collaboration: Work in close communication with the sales force and Key Account Managers (KAM) to present the business portfolio and support major initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with operational, legal, procurement, marketing, and bid management areas to satisfy customer needs.
  • Networking: Participate in industry events and demonstrations to expand the Airbus network and promote product value.

Role Challenges and Complexities

  • Multitasking: Managing and prioritizing multiple business opportunities and team coordination.
  • Technical Learning: Developing a strong understanding of Airbus technology, specifically in Mission Critical and Business Critical communications.
  • Compliance: Adhering to internal Airbus guidelines, Ethics and Compliance, and Export Control policies.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a Commercial or Technical field (Engineering, Systems, or related).
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in business management or new business development, preferably within the Telecoms, Software, or IoT industries.
  • Languages: Fluent English (Spoken and Written) is essential.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of broadband-driven business, cloud/IT environments, and data analysis is highly valued.

Required Competencies

  • Analytical & Methodical: Ability to organize work efficiently and think strategically about market scalability.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and networking skills, both externally and within the Airbus network.
  • Team Player: Strong ability to work in a team and coordinate with various departments.
