The center has strong capabilities in the areas of structural analysis, loads, aerodynamics, avionics software design and testing, system simulation, digital mock-up and system installation etc. In the avionics software team, we perform end to end software development activities starting from high level requirements definition to the certification of the software applying product line technology, component based development, formal methods etc.
Job Role:
Avionics Software Integration & Verification:
The individual will be responsible for Integration, Verification and Validation of Safety critical Real Time Embedded Platform software for the avionics domain conforming to DO 178 B/C standard. The individual is expected to provide technical leadership and should have working exposure to complete Software Verification Activities.
Job Responsibilities:
The individual will be responsible for performing below activities for Avionics Software:
- Define, document, and execute the overall Software Verification Strategy and Test Plan in accordance with DO-178B/C objectives.
- Perform integration of complex software components/subsets, manage software builds, and maintain configuration control across life-cycle baselines.
- Design, configure, and maintain advanced test rigs and environments, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HSIT), Software-in-the-Loop (SWIT), and simulated test benches.
- Author, review, and execute high-level and low-level Software Test Cases and Procedures (Functional, Performance, Boundary, and Robustness testing).
- Perform structural coverage analysis (MC/DC, Statement, Decision coverage) to ensure complete requirement verification.
- Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) and debugging for complex issues identified during internal integration or customer/stakeholder testing.
- Implement test automation frameworks to increase verification efficiency and continuous integration pipelines.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and drive verification best practices across multi-site global teams.
Job Qualifications:
Should have 5+ years of experience in Avionics Software Verification & Integration Activities.
'Must have' skills:
Hands on experience in
- In-depth working knowledge of DO-178B/C guidelines for Design Assurance Level (DAL A, B, and C) software life cycles.
- Strong knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) and Change Management processes in safety-critical domains.
- Developing and debugging tests on HSIT (Hardware Software Integration Test) benches and simulation environments.
- Proven ability to work seamlessly across cross-functional, multi-site global teams.
- Knowledge about Verification standards.
- Strong Project management skills to drive large teams/workloads.
'Good to have' skills:
- Familiarity with Product Line Architecture and Component-Based Software Engineering.
- Direct experience participating in Stage of Involvement (SOI) certification audits (SOI-3 / SOI-4).
- Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools: Git, Jenkins, JIRA, Python, Robot Framework, VectorCAST, or RTRT.
