Job Role:
Avionics Software Developer for onboard Air Traffic Products:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Avionics Software Developer to join our team at Airbus India Private Limited. This role focuses on defining, developing, testing, and maintaining critical software for air traffic management products, ensuring the highest levels of safety and performance for future aviation systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the requirement engineering activity (gather system requirements, analyze and document software requirements)
- Comprehend the global software architecture (static & dynamic) and contribute for incremental evolutions
- Develop high level design and low level design ( HOOD/ Class Definition/ UML diagrams)
- Efficiently perform coding, debugging and the build generation
- Coordinate with stakeholders and verification teams in resolving complex technical issues
- Troubleshooting issues reported by System testing & Simulator testing, Flight Test, In-service issues and AoG situations by coordinating with internal and external teams.
- Maintain good professional relationship with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience in embedded software development, with a significant focus on avionics or safety-critical systems.
'Must have' skills:
Hands on experience in
- Embedded software requirements engineering and architecture (static and dynamic).
- Design and development experience (algorithms, interfaces, schedulers, abstraction, and modularization).
- Proven expertise in programming languages such as C, C++, or ADA.
- Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) principles and application.
- In-depth knowledge of avionics communication protocols (e.g., A653, AFDX, CAN, Ethernet, etc).
- Experience with software development processes compliant with DO-178 B/C standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Git) and change management systems (e.g., Jira).
'Good to have' skills:
- System knowledge of ATSU, SATCOM, Datalink, FMS, CMU, or similar systems.
- Model development experience using Matlab, Simulink, or SCADE.
- Familiarity with air traffic management concepts, systems, and regulations is highly desirable.
