Job Summary:**

As an Assembly Technology Engineer specializing in Material and Process at Airbus India Private Limited, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing Assembly processes and materials used in aircraft assembly, ensuring high quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Research, evaluate, and select appropriate materials and assembly processes for various aircraft components, considering performance, cost, and manufacturability.
* Develop and validate new assembly technologies and processes, including automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
* Optimize existing assembly processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and minimize waste.
* Conduct material characterization, testing, and failure analysis to ensure compliance with aerospace standards and specifications.
* Collaborate with design engineers, production teams, and suppliers to integrate new materials and processes into the assembly line.
* Develop and implement process control plans, quality assurance procedures, and documentation for assembly operations.
* Provide technical support and training to production personnel on new materials and assembly processes.
* Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, problem-solving, and root cause analysis related to assembly issues.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory requirements related to aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.

Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience (typically 3-7 years) in manufacturing engineering, process development, or materials engineering within the aerospace industry.
* Strong understanding of various aircraft assembly processes, including joining techniques (e.g., riveting, bonding, welding), tooling, and fixtures.
* In-depth knowledge of aerospace materials, including composites, metals, and their properties and applications.
* Experience with process optimization methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) and quality management systems (e.g., AS9100).
* Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and simulation tools.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
* Knowledge of Airbus manufacturing standards and practices is a plus.
