Your mission:

An apprenticeship opportunity titled : « Business Efficiency & Innovation » has just opened at Airbus India located in Bangalore.

You will join the "Maintenance and Retrofit Solutions" department in charge of:-

  • Producing Scheduled Maintenance Services,
  • Delivering and Supporting added value Retrofit solution packages to maintain continued airworthiness of Aircraft and also improve Customers Operations & profitability
  • Designing and maintaining the specialized tools and ground support equipments used by Airlines and Maintenance organizations to service Airbus aircraft.

Ideally, this is a 12-month program and it should start in July/August 2026 (date subject to flexibility).

Your main missions will consist of:

• Task 1: Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources (technical, graphical or numerical) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that impact business efficiency.

• Task 2: Suggest concepts or IT solutions susceptible to address the trends or the efficiency concerns detected

  • Engineer Computer Vision or Geometric Deep Learning models to perform automated change detection between CAD assemblies, highlighting architectural variances through high-fidelity image captures."

OR

  • Assisting in the creation of schematics and layouts for electronic control units used in automated Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

OR

  • Mine large datasets from various sources to identify trends, patterns in order to build and maintain interactive boards providing decision making data insights to stakeholders.

• Task 3: Assist in developing predictive models and applying statistical analysis to solve business problems and optimize internal processes.

  • Develop Multimodal AI models to transform 2D engineering drawings and technical illustrations into structured text or documentation based on predefined business logic and engineering rules."

OR

  • Assist in developing predictive models and applying statistical analysis to solve business problems and optimize internal processes.

OR

  • Supports the integration of sensors and microcontrollers into mechanical systems to improve machine intelligence and safety. Participates in the assembly and functional testing of automated tool prototypes (diagnose and troubleshoot).

Your tutor will support you identify your professional objectives and develop your skills

This apprenticeship will allow you to develop the following skills:

  • Advanced Data Processing & Analytics: Gaining hands-on experience with real-world, large-scale industrial datasets and mastering data wrangling techniques.
  • Data Storytelling & Visualization: Learning how to translate complex statistical findings into clear, visual, and actionable business intelligence.
  • Applied Statistical Modeling: Developing practical experience in applying predictive analytics and algorithms in a corporate environment

OR.

  • Develop skills on Computer Vision (CV), Geometric Deep Learning, Change Detection Algorithm, use of linear algebra , transformations to align two different models for comparison.
  • Develop skills on Generative AI-teaching a machine to read a drawing and write a report about it.
  • Developing practical experience in applying predictive analytics and algorithms in real scenarios.
  • Develop skills on organisation functionalities and execution of projects

OR

  • Industrial Automation: Practical experience in programming PLCs or microcontrollers and integrating industrial communication protocols.
  • Mechatronic Design: Proficiency in bridging the gap between mechanical hardware and electronic control systems.
  • Aerospace Standards: Understanding of functional safety and CE directives within a high-compliance engineering industry.

Your Boarding Pass:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • You are a Fresh Graduate (Technical Under Graduate or Post Graduate) in [Data Science, Mathematics & Computing, Computer Science, or Information & Technology]
  • Zero Work Experience: This program is exclusively for candidates with no prior full-time professional work experience. (Internships and academic projects are excluded from this and are welcome).
  • Commitment: Ability to commit to the full 12-month duration of the apprenticeship.

You possess the following competences:

- Technical skills :

  • Proficiency in data querying and manipulation languages, primarily SQL and Python (or R).
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization and Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio).
  • Solid foundation in statistical analysis, probability, and basic machine learning concepts.

- Soft Skills :

  • Detail-Oriented & Analytical: A meticulous approach to ensuring data accuracy and a logical mindset for problem-solving.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to explain technical data concepts to non-technical team members clearly.
  • Team Spirit & Proactivity: Eagerness to collaborate with different departments and proactively suggest data-driven improvements.

- Language skills :

  • English : Advanced / Fluent
