Apprenticeship in the Digital Makers team is dedicated to building robust, scalable, and trustworthy Fullstack Applications with AI capabilities, solving complex challenges in Data Analytics, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Operational Research.

The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in the end-to-end lifecycle of AI and data products.

  • Post-graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields

Skills

  • Knowledge of SQL and working with databases
  • Proficiency in Python programming
  • Understanding of machine learning algorithms (supervised/unsupervised) and deep learning
  • Experience/Familiarity with libraries such as scikit-learn , tensorflow or pytorch
  • Experience to version control tools like Github
  • Experience/Understanding of the various SOTA (State-Of-The-Art) techniques available in specific topics related to Computer Vision
  • Data Exploration : Cleaning, preprocessing, and transforming large datasets to prepare them for model training or analysis
  • Extracting meaningful insights from structured and unstructured data using statistical and analytical techniques
  • Some experience with React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and Python (not mandatory).
  • Basic understanding of front-end development with HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Familiarity with web frameworks like Flask, FastAPI, or Django is a plus.
  • Interest in learning cloud technologies, specifically AWS.
  • Basic understanding of RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Git for version control.
  • A strong desire to learn, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a team.

Others

  • Knowledge of Generative AI (LLMs, Prompt Engineering).
  • Project experience with Object Tracking using Computer Vision
  • Basics of DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of containerization with Docker.
  • Experience with any state management library (e.g., Redux, Zustand).
  • Contributions to personal or school projects

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building and improving machine learning models for various applications
  • Work with datasets, cleaning, preprocessing, and transforming data to train models
  • Implement SOTA deep learning algorithms to solve various Computer vision problems
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and data scientists to optimize model performance and deploy the model as an endpoint or batch job
  • Conduct experiments and analyze the performance of models using open source datasets and benchmark on Airbus specific data
  • Create data visualizations and reports to communicate insights and results effectively
  • Excellent Communication skills- good interpersonal and influencing skills.
