Job Description

Job Description:

Airbus R&T in the wing perimeter has focused a lot in the past years on the structural and industrial aspects, resulting in the Wing of Tomorrow concepts and ground prototypes.

eXtra performance WING , an Airbus UpNext demonstrator, is using disruptive wing technologies focusing on wing performance and need acceleration or feasibility demonstration. Our purpose is to fly a remote controlled business jet, flying subsonic, at classical Airbus aircraft altitudes, with a scaled wing heavily instrumented.

Your mission:

You won’t just be observing; you will be the architect of the eXtra performance WING Aircraft Maintenance Manual. Your goal is to build an approved maintenance plan to allow this demonstrator to transition safely and efficiently from the hangar to the clouds.

- Deep-dive into the Cessna 650’s technical documentation to understand the
foundation of our flying laboratory and its legacy maintenance philosophy.
- Bridge the gap between legacy systems and disruptive technologies. You will
coordinate with Design, Systems, and CAMO teams to define and document
maintenance protocols for components that have never flown before.
- Operational Engineering: Translate complex engineering concepts into "Job Cards" - the mission-critical instructions that mechanics will use to keep our demonstrator flight-ready.

Your boarding pass:

What you bring (and will be developed):

  • You are naturally curious and passionate about aeronautics. You already have a good general knowledge of aircraft architecture and how different systems interact.
  • You enjoy digging into technical documentation to propose smart, safe adaptations.
  • Experience with CATIA is a huge plus (you’ll be looking at the future in 3D).
  • You will thrive in a highly transnational and multi-disciplinary environment. Being comfortable in English (B2 minimum) is essential to collaborate with our international teams.

What you get:

  • A fun and supportive working environment that not only fosters your development in
  • many ways, but also rewards it with plenty of room to grow
  • A shared open space office with highly skilled multicultural, experienced and fun teams
  • Working in R&T environment
