Join Airbus Information Management (IM) and help us make Airbus safer, smarter, and more connected. IM drives digital transformation from sustainable IT and Skywise analytics to programs like DDMS connecting thousands of global users and supporting aircraft from initial design through delivery.

Joining the "Functional Engineering & R&T" team within the "One PLM" Product Service Line, you will functionally report to the Head of Product to help deliver a single, harmonized IT/IS toolset for aircraft development, manufacturing, and support services.

You will drive PLM solutions aligned with Airbus Group’s Process, Method, and Tools strategy, focusing on SPDM (Simulation Process & Data Management) and ADSE (Aircraft Design Space Exploration) on 3DEXPERIENCE. Your scope covers Functional Engineering domains such as Collaborative Architecture Mock-ups, Particular Risk Analysis, and 3D Integrated Parametric Architecture Frameworks. Additionally, you will enable MBSE capabilities by integrating CAMEO system mappings, requirements, configuration management, and simulation data execution.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Conducting in-depth discovery meetings, targeted at understanding, capturing, and identifying the complex business requirements and operational objectives of the customer, with recommendations on automation.
  • Identifying areas for improvement in business processes providing possible IT solutions compliant with the Digital strategy
  • Supporting the IT Product Manager in the Product/Service Planning based on the customer requirements
  • Producing documentation of current challenges, future requirements, and benefits in a manner appropriate for the customer
  • Defining and developing the required specification documents to be reviewed with stakeholders and Product team members
  • Performing the technical/functional design of the application and infrastructure components of a new solution according to the defined functional design.
  • Providing an expertise on Business processes, change management transformation, function improvement and technology enablement for Business processes reengineering and supports architects during projects.
  • Following all phases of the application development life cycle including research and design, development, testing, implementation and support.

ABOUT YOU

  • Over 5 years of experience in functional architecture, project management, solution engineering or another relevant field
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge in the field of Design, or in the following domains: Functional engineering, simulation, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Architectural mock-up generation
  • Previous experience leading a project from start to finish and delivering results
  • Knowledge of IT tools customizing and architecture, IT and business strategy alignment, IT product design and product development, IT business change management
