
Job Description
The Creative Content hub is responsible for Admiral Group UK insurance products across various brands. And now, we’re looking for a talented Digital Designer to join the team.
You’ll be working on brand, advertising, and product team projects. You’ll be expected to bring your insight, empathy, and understanding of the customer experience to a variety of creative briefs.
Creativity and attention to detail is key.
A deep knowledge of Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other industry-leading creative tools is important. You will be working alongside other designers on a range of tasks including:
- Responsive web layouts
- Campaign and product landing pages
- Email design
- Wireframing and prototyping with Figma
- Graphic and information design
- Rich-media web advertising
- Social media video
- UI/UX design

The right candidate will thrive while working under their own initiative or with the support of the Creative team. You’ll produce concepts, designs, illustrations, and wireframes for marketing and advertising campaigns. You’ll create user journeys that engage and improve the Admiral customer experience.

Taking responsibility
Reporting to the Creative Director, you will work closely with stakeholders from across the business. Being comfortable with the stewardship and management of your own tasks will provide opportunities to develop and adopt more responsibility.
Tasks will include:
- Creating compelling responsive web layouts
- Crafting content to promote our brands and products
- Creating user-centric customer experiences
- Creating original graphic designs (info-graphs, images, icons, and illustrations)
- Adhering to brand standards for typography, colour, tone of voice, and imagery
Essential skills and experience
- Graphic design
- UI and UX design
- Principles of accessibility design
- Responsive web design
- Figma, Affinity Designer, Illustrator, Adobe CC Suite, After Effects
- Understanding of HTML and CSS
- Animation and video
Your education
- A degree-level creative design qualification is a must-have
Your portfolio
We would like to discuss your portfolio. It should demonstrate an understanding of end-to-end design, from brief to execution. And seasoned with real-world experience.
We’d love to see exciting, contemporary, creative design solutions with a flair for typography, composition, illustration and information design.
An ideal candidate has a strong interest in video and motion design. We would love to welcome someone to our team who understands the intricacies of video creation programmes like After Effects and Premier Pro. If you can showcase how you approach a video project, that would sweeten the deal.
Working hours
- 37.5 hours a week
- Hybrid working with 2 days in our Cardiff office (Tuesday and Thursday)
