About the Job

Data Analytics Apprenticeship – Kickstart Your Career in Data & Tech!

Ready to kickstart your career in data? Join our 18-month Data Apprenticeship Programme and get hands-on with data and technology while working towards a fully funded, nationally recognised Level 3 Diploma in Data Analytics from our specialist training provider.

Please note, the assessment centre for this role will be on the 5th May. Please, only apply if you are free to attend that date.

About the Role

  • Start Date: September 28th, 2026.
  • Location: Hybrid (minimum 2 days a week in-office and 1 day in person learning with our training provider). All in-person work and learning will take place in central Cardiff.
  • Structure: Placement in Data team plus learning and days and assignments administered by a specialist provider.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours a week (including training).
  • Programme Length: 18 months. From day one, you’ll have access to the same support and opportunities as the rest of our community.
  • Right to work: Please note, we cannot accept applications without the correct right to work documentation for the full duration of the programme.

What You’ll Do

  • You’ll spend the working week as an Associate Data Analyst – solving real business problems through data analysis and getting hands on with code (SQL). You’ll uncover insights, spot trends, and shape decisions that influence the future of our FTSE 100 company.
  • Periodically attend sessions with our specialist training provider to build your knowledge and work towards your diploma.

Why Join Us

From day one, you’ll be part of our innovative and supportive Data Community, a space where data enthusiasts, professionals, and experts come together to collaborate, learn and grow.

As well as your external qualification, your learning will be supported by in-house sessions from our Data & AI Academy. This includes bespoke sessions delivered through a variety of channels – face-to-face, online, in-person events, and on-the-job projects.

We’ve got a proven track record of developing early talent – with many of our leaders and experts having joined us straight from education.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for people who enjoy solving problems, have a mathematical or analytical mindset, and are studying (or have studied) a STEM subject at A-Level (or equivalent).

You don’t need any previous work experience in data or tech. If you’re naturally curious, eager to learn and ready to tackle a challenge head on, we’d love to hear from you.

You don’t need any specific work experience to apply - just to meet the following requirements:

  • Predicted or achieved ‘B’ grade in at least one STEM A-Level (or equivalent) by September 2026.
  • 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C), including English and Maths.
  • You don’t currently hold a STEM degree
  • Some experience of working with data or numbers in a classroom setting (A-Level or equivalent).

What Happens Next

If your application is successful, here’s what to expect:

  • Online Maths Test – You’ll be invited to complete a maths test to help us understand your ability in these areas.
  • Pre-screen call - This is an informal phone conversation arranged with our Recruitment team to introduce ourselves and learn more about you.
  • Assessment Centre (In Person – Cardiff) – If your application and test results stand out, you’ll be invited to our assessment centre. Here you’ll take part in a group task in the morning, meet the team and get a feel for what it’s like to work here. In the afternoon, you’ll take part in a short interview.
  • Final Interview (Virtual) – If successful at the assessment centre and first stage interview, you’ll be invited to a short final interview with our hiring manager.

Disability Confident Leader

As a Disability Confident Leader, for candidates with a disability or long-term health condition, that opt into the Disability Confident scheme, we’ll invite a fair and proportionate number of applicants that meet the essential requirements of the role to the first stage of our selection process.
