Job Description

We want a world where no one dies from hunger. Life-threatening hunger is predictable, preventable and treatable. Join Action Against Hunger and together we will stop it in its tracks.  Action Against Hunger is an optimistic, inspiring place to work. We want passionate and dedicated people to help build a better world. We’re a creative team made up of people with a wide range of talents, styles and expertise. But we are united in our relentless dedication to end world hunger.  No challenge is too big. With you we can do it.  Join us.

We are looking for a Head of Special Events (mat cover)

As Head of Special Events you will be instrumental in the next stage of Action Against Hunger UK’s journey, managing the events team in the Fundraising & Communications Department to deliver a range of income driven and cultivation events.

You will lead a thriving calendar of special events, primarily targeted at our high value supporters and corporate partners. This includes events such as the Hawksmoor Dinner and Too Many Critics, as well as a series of stewardship events across the year. In addition, the role project manages our flagship gala event, the Fine Wine and Art Dinner, past its 15th anniversary and still growing year on year.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced and passionate events manager, excited by the prospect of innovating within an already successful and varied portfolio of events.

Closing date: 3 October 2023.  Interview Date: w/c 10 October 2023.
