Job Description

At Accurx, we're on a mission to make patients healthier and healthcare staff happier.

Who are Accurx?

We’re a fast-growing health technology company which makes it easier for patients and healthcare teams to communicate.

Accurx is where conversations happen with and about patients. Our software helps doctors, nurses, pharmacists and administrators and other professionals to seamlessly connect with both patients and each other.

Our mission is simple: everything we do is to make patients healthier and healthcare staff happier. Today, Accurx is used in 98% of GP practices nationwide and every day more healthcare professionals are using our software in hospitals, pharmacies, care homes and the community.

We’re passionate about staying close to our users, which is why everyone at Accurx visits a GP practice at least twice a quarter to understand how a practice runs, the difficulties they face with technologies and how we can help.

Although we’ve initially tackled the UK healthcare system, we have big ambitions to improve healthcare systems across the world in the future. If you want to hear from some of our Accufolk about what it's like to work for us, take a look at a video from our 2022 summer conference!

Life as a Finance Manager (FP&A) at Accurx

As a Finance Manager, you'll be supporting us to build out our Financial Planning and Analysis team at Accurx. As a scale-up, things move fast so you can expect your responsibilities to constantly be changing based on the business needs. However, your core responsibilities are likely to include:

  • You will help to design and improve financial processes and tools that support the businesses growth as we continue to scale
  • You will partner with department heads to set annual budgets and KPIs. You will work closely with them throughout the year reviewing them on a monthly basis to ensure we are on track
  • You will partner with our commercial operations team on revenue reporting to provide an accurate forecast and enable the company to plan accordingly
  • You will work on ongoing finance transformation projects. This currently involves working with our business units leaders to set up appropriate reporting to make informed decisions

What the team say ...

"This is an exciting opportunity to join me in shaping the FP&A function from the ground up in a business that is really driving change in both primary and secondary care settings"

- Connor, Finance Manager

We'd really like to hear from you, if ...

  • You are a qualified accountant who has worked in a financial planning team at a fast growing business before
  • You're familiar with excel and enjoy working within a spreadsheet
  • You are organised and able to balance multiple projects at once
  • You're willing to get stuck in and do what it takes to make things happen
  • You are analytical and able to see the big picture
  • You're mission-driven and care about positively impacting the lives of billions
  • You're excited by change and a fast-paced learning environment
  • You love solving problems, and relish the constant challenges a startup throws your way
  • You're an excellent communicator with the ability to translate complex to simple, bringing your ideas to life
  • When you see something not working, you'll flag it and be part of the solution
  • You're mission-driven: you care about positively impacting the lives of millions
  • You’re always collaborating: you place team success over personal success and you enjoy working in an open, collaborative environment.
  • You demonstrate responsible ownership: when you see something not working, you'll flag it and be part of the solution
  • You seek continuous improvement: you’re always developing new skills and insights, while exploring ways to do things better
  • You’re mindful of balance: you're conscious of your own health and that of others. You think carefully about how best to focus your efforts, knowing when to push yourself to reach a goal.
