Job Description

At Accurx, we're on a mission to make patients healthier and healthcare staff happier. 💚

Who are Accurx? 🤔

We’re a fast-growing healthcare technology company which makes it easier for patients and healthcare teams to communicate.

Accurx is where conversations happen with and about patients. Our software helps doctors, nurses, pharmacists, administrators and other professionals to seamlessly connect with both patients and each other.

Our mission is simple: everything we do is to make patients healthier and healthcare staff happier. Today, Accurx is used in 98% of GP practices nationwide and every day more healthcare professionals are using our software in hospitals, pharmacies, care homes and the community.

We’re passionate about staying close to our users, which is why everyone at Accurx visits a GP practice at least twice a quarter to understand how a practice runs, the difficulties they face with technologies and how we can help.

Although we’ve initially tackled the UK healthcare system, we have big ambitions to improve healthcare systems across the world in the future. If you want to hear from some of our Accufolk about what it's like to work for us, take a look at a video from our 2023 summer conference!🤩

Life as a Business Development Manager at Accurx

With widespread use of Accurx in Primary Care, where we have led the way in transforming the way patients and their healthcare teams communicate, we are now moving forward in our journey in helping deliver Modern General Practice access. Beyond beating the 8 am rush, we are excited to be entering into Community pharmacy and understanding how we can improve communication and efficiency across different NHS care settings.

Off the back of our £27.5M series B funding round in late 2021, we’re continuing to scale our offerings and partnerships in new territories and markets, we have ambitious plans to develop our commercial proposition. Therefore, we’re looking to welcome ambitious, driven people to our growing Commercial Team at Accurx, who will be critical to driving our future growth.

At Accurx, culture and our values are at the core of our Commercial success, so continuing to protect that culture and collaboration across our Commercial function remains paramount to our mission. We’re looking for driven, collaborative Business Development Managers who can help us with our ambitious plans to scale Accurx in the NHS. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping our offering and feed into our commercial strategy.

We're currently looking to hire two Business Development Managers. As a Business Development Manager your focus will be on building, and nurturing strong relationships with NHS organisations, such as GP Practices, Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and Community Pharmacies. This will include:

Pipeline Management: Build, maintain and nurture a high-quality sales pipeline, by identifying and engaging with clients across various channels.

Lead generation: Working closely with marketing; proactively identify and qualify high-quality leads through market research, competitor analysis and targeted prospecting to ensure a consistent flow of potential opportunities.

Customer account planning and research: Stakeholder mapping, competitor analysis, understanding digital plans and strategies.

Customer engagement: Independently leading discovery calls and meetings, expertly demo’ing Accurx, handling negotiations and objections and confidently articulating benefits and value propositions.

Data analytics & Reporting: Track, analyse and report on sales pipeline and present proposals on how to move opportunities through the funnel/ cycle. Draw insights from data sets and make recommendations on opportunities.

Alignment with strategy: Collaborating with Business Development Leads, Managers and Analysts to achieve contract and revenue targets and deliver against regional strategy.

Deal closing: Managing prospects from contact through to contract.

Project Support (within commercial function): Project managing specific pieces of work to improve our processes and efficiency within the Commercial team e.g. mapping an existing process and working with the team to build a better approach with scale and automation critical to our operation.

What the team say ...

“Every day as a Business Development Lead at Accurx is inspiring and rewarding. It’s a hugely exciting time to join the team as we scale quickly, building relationships and partnerships that really make a different for NHS front line staff. Every day is full of variety and the right amount of challenge, all while learning from my talented colleagues and having a great time while we do it.” Rosie, Senior Business Development Lead
