The Team

Within Accenture Song sits AI & Data, the practice that builds the data-led intelligence behind the customer work. Song AI & Data helps organisations unlock value from data, analytics and AI by creating more relevant, personalised and effective customer experiences. Our expertise spans customer insight, data strategy and platforms, advanced analytics, performance optimisation, and AI (including generative AI and agentic AI) transformation.

You will join the Song AI & Data UK practice, within the AI & Modelling Craft: a community of data scientists, AI engineers, modellers and solution architects focused on applying AI, machine learning and advanced analytics to solve customer and growth challenges. Our teams work across the full lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and designing solutions through to building, deploying and operating AI products that deliver measurable business value.

The Role

As an AI Solution Architect, you will design and deliver customer-focused data and AI solutions, spanning machine learning products, generative AI solutions and agentic AI systems. Working alongside a Lead Solution Architect, you will help shape the target architecture, take ownership of specific workstreams or components, and provide day-to-day technical direction to the engineers and data scientists building them, from design through to live service and continuous improvement.

This could include designing the retrieval and evaluation approach for an AI-powered customer service assistant, building the recommendation components of a personalisation engine that suggests the next best action for customers across digital channels, or developing the agentic workflows that automate parts of campaign planning, execution and optimisation.

Within your area of the solution, you will contribute to technology and design decisions, identify and manage technical risks, and make sure what is built is secure, scalable and aligned to client objectives. You will work closely with product owners, designers, engineers and business stakeholders to turn ideas into production-ready solutions.

You will also be expected to explain technical concepts in business terms. Working with customer experience, marketing and service teams, you will help them understand what an AI solution does, how it fits with their existing systems and processes, and how it contributes to customer satisfaction, revenue, cost to serve and measurable business value.

What makes this role unique is the opportunity to apply AI directly to customer growth, marketing, commerce and service challenges, helping some of the world's leading organisations create more relevant and valuable customer experiences.

What You Will Do

  • Design architectures for AI, generative AI and advanced analytics solutions across the customer lifecycle, spanning marketing, commerce, product, sales and customer service.
  • Contribute to the technical architecture for customer-focused AI solutions, taking ownership of defined components or workstreams and ensuring they are scalable, secure, resilient and aligned to business objectives.
  • Design and build AI applications and platform components, integrating machine learning, generative AI and agentic AI capabilities with enterprise systems such as CRM, CDP, CMS, DAM and cloud data platforms.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions covering technology selection, integration patterns, build-versus-buy approaches, security, governance, performance and operational support, and document the rationale so decisions can be reviewed and reused.
  • Provide technical direction to small delivery teams of engineers, data scientists and AI specialists, from initial concept through to production deployment and optimisation.
  • Design solutions that meet responsible AI, security, privacy and regulatory requirements, including appropriate evaluation, monitoring and governance controls.
  • Apply and help improve technical standards and best practices across the AI & Modelling Craft, sharing knowledge and mentoring more junior engineers and data scientists.
  • Build effective working relationships with client stakeholders, contributing to architectural discussions and explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support business development activities by contributing to solution approaches, proposals, estimates and technical roadmaps for customer-focused AI opportunities.

What We Are Looking For

  • Production GenAI experience. Experience delivering GenAI and LLM-based solutions into production environments, with an understanding of what it takes to operate, monitor and evolve AI systems once they are live.
  • Customer domain experience. Experience applying AI to customer growth, personalisation, marketing, commerce, sales or service challenges. You can take part confidently in discussions about customer and business challenges and understand how AI creates measurable value for both customers and organisations.
  • Modern AI architecture knowledge. Good understanding of machine learning, LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic systems and the architectural patterns used to deploy AI solutions at enterprise scale.
  • Engineering and cloud foundations. Solid understanding of software engineering, data architecture and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP), with hands-on experience delivering scalable, production-grade solutions.
  • Enterprise data experience. Experience integrating enterprise data into AI solutions, including data modelling, ingestion pipelines, governance, security and data quality considerations.
  • Technical leadership. Experience providing technical direction to engineers, data scientists or AI specialists within a delivery team, and taking ownership of design decisions and delivery outcomes for your area of the solution.
  • Consulting and stakeholder management. Good consulting and stakeholder management skills. You can explain design choices clearly to technical teams and business stakeholders, and you are comfortable working with clients on a day-to-day basis.
  • Responsible AI, governance and security. Experience designing AI solutions that are trustworthy, secure and compliant, with an understanding of Responsible AI, privacy, governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentoring. Experience supporting and mentoring more junior engineers or data scientists, and a willingness to share knowledge and help the team improve.
