About this role

Working closely with the Commercial leaders (Marketing, Sales, CS), this is a business critical role enabling the divisions to support the company during a high growth period. You will be an integral team leader who is able to nurture strong and trusting relationships with the Commercial team and stakeholders. You’ll be operationally minded, pragmatic and have a passion for simplicity and efficiency.

As a hands-on operations leader, you will enable our Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams and help drive rapid growth and productivity through scalable process improvements, build trend analyses and communicate insights, plus select and implement the correct tech stack for operational efficiency. Further, you will guide and manage the Ops team members for the different areas, mentoring and developing these individuals as they grow in their roles.

Day to day, you will:

  • Lead a team of Marketing and Sales Operations specialists, supporting them while sharing knowledge and best practices, and helping them grow and progress.
  • Own the marketing, sales and CS operations tech stack including Hubspot (CRM), Clearbit (data enrichment), Salesloft (engagement), etc.
  • Partner with marketing and sales to make sure activities are aligned, identify and implement process improvements, and highlight growth opportunities to increase sales pipeline.
  • Track, report and advise on marketing and sales performance, using data to drive continual improvements across our activities and processes - including lead lifecycle, conversion rate, sales cycles and revenue generation. In a nutshell - use data to take strategic decisions and help execute on tactical plans
  • Bring key experience in overseeing critical solutions for Sales in areas such as forecasting, historical analysis, lead qualification, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of structuring sales commission plans and incentives for driving the right behaviours and increasing revenue generation.
  • Analysis of performance by channels, messaging, propositions and content, and guide resource allocation based on ROI (and evolve/remove areas of underperformance). Use key SaaS metrics to advise and help the commercial functions to allocate resources/investments to generate maximum yield.
  • Drive cross-functional end-to-end projects, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, CS, Partner, Product, BI, Finance, to continuously improve the way systems inter-operate with each other, and understand key levers and touchpoints in the customer journey for a seamless, friction-free experience.

We'd love to hear from you if...

  • You have a Business, Maths, Science, Engineering or numerical degree with previous experience in a Revenue Operations role within the B2B technology industry.
  • You have exceptional experience leading high-performance teams (10+ years), you are comfortable employing different approaches to a variety of situations such as mentoring, coaching and ultimately with this have proven experience with helping your team grow and progress.
  • You have strong knowledge of CRM systems and marketing automation platforms, ideally HubSpot, with related integrations. Hands-on knowledge of modern workflows, scoring, segmentation, forms, etc.
  • You are experienced with data collection, statistical methods, reporting, discovering insights, calculating ROI across the funnel, forming conclusions, surfacing areas that need attention, and effectively communicating to different audiences and stakeholders.
  • You have proven experience in designing and creating global operational excellence programs, making decisions, achieving goals and hitting deadlines, based on company-wide objectives, regardless of the obstacles
  • You are a creative and strategic thinker who enjoys thinking ‘outside of the box’. When faced with obstacles you show a willingness to roll-up-your-sleeves and take responsibility on key initiatives

It would be nice if you have:

  • Strong skills in project management systems ideally Asana and Jira.
  • A deep understanding of the range of tools used by a fast growing SaaS company including but not limited to CRM, Marketing Automation, Sales Automation, Data Enrichment, BI and Customer Data Management, with the ability to make recommendations regarding key integrations needed.
  • Experience at early to mid-stage venture-backed startups
  • Experience with data hygiene practices for data accuracy and ensuring that we can glean knowledge and insight from our tech stack.
