What you'll work on

Every day is different, but here's an example of the kind of things you'll work on:

• Support the US distressed debt content team in monitoring active bankruptcy cases, out-of-court restructurings, and credit stress situations

• Assist in building and updating financial models and data trackers for companies across 9fin's distressed coverage universe

• Research and summarise key legal filings, court documents, and restructuring-related disclosures to support editorial coverage

• Contribute short-form written analysis and data summaries for use in 9fin's newsletters, platform content, and daily briefings

• Work closely with analysts, reporters, and editors to develop an understanding of the full research and editorial workflow at 9fin

About you

This role will be a great fit if you:

• Are currently studying finance, economics, law, or a related discipline, or have recently graduated

• Have a foundational understanding of corporate finance and credit markets — exposure to distressed or restructuring concepts is a strong plus

• Are detail-oriented and comfortable working with financial data, legal documents, and large volumes of information

• Write clearly and concisely; you can summarise complex situations in plain language for a sophisticated audience

• Are eager to learn and proactive in seeking out new tasks and responsibilities in a fast-moving environment

Compensation: $30/hr
