Comma are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join their team.
Our mission is to remove the pain from payments. Our vision is to create a step change in how payments are made by small business - to make money move faster through the whole supply chain.
Comma is an open banking bulk payment system. It handles the boring but important stuff - bills, salaries, and taxes. We get to market through bookkeepers and accountants by enabling payment services. This helps small and micro businesses who don't have access to corporate banking.
We've just raised a high profile seed round and we are experiencing the challenges and excitement of a growing team. We have a lot of demand for what we are providing and are inundated with product requirements and feedback from our engaging customer base.
What will you do?
We are looking for a Senior Sales Development Representative who will work directly within the business development team to increase market reach within accountancy firms. Demand has been high. We've successfully enrolled accountants and bookkeepers to our pilot programme over the past 6 months, and the product's recently been launched! Your role will be to continue expanding our customer base and increase interest in our offering.
Using a plethora of lead generation tools and techniques, you'll identify the best prospects and guide them through the process of what it looks like to work with Comma; interacting via phone, email & zoom. You'll be taking a lead with demos, and guiding junior members of the team through them too.
We want to ensure we're targeting the right prospects and that our efforts are generating high ROI. You'll run A/B testing email messaging to determine the greatest response rate - enabling our sales lifecycle to be seamless and efficient.
Being an early stage company, we rely heavily on customer feedback to better our solution. Using your research and evaluation reports, you will be working closely with the product team to guide prototype and engineering efforts.

Who are you?
- You'll need prior sales experience, with SAAS being preferred but not necessary
- Your communication skills are impeccable - fluent English is a must
- You're naturally engaging and find it easy to connect with people
- You'll need to understand accounting basics - payables, receivables, bills & invoices
- You're a self starter and have great interpersonal skills
- You're an active listener and able to learn & adapt based on what you hear
- You have a creative flair and think of new ways of doing things
