I love working at Butternut, I am supported and encouraged to go beyond where I would in another working environment. The commitment to learning and development as well as social connection is brilliant.
I was already extremely satisfied with the culture at Butternut and the the amount of flexibility and autonomy they provide, but I was truly blown away by their support throughout my pregnancy, maternity leave and re-onboarding. I was given the space, tools and guidance to continue to do my best work while being able to prioritise my and my baby's health and happiness.

At Butternut, we put the food back into dog food. We believe dogs deserve to eat the healthiest, most natural and tastiest food with none of the nasties. That’s why we make freshly prepared dog food. Cooked like you would at home. Delivered in perfect portions.
Our goal is to help dogs live healthier, happier and longer lives whilst leaving humans smiling after every interaction. We’ve come a long way since our co-founders (Kev & Dave) hand-delivered the first Butternut Box, we now feed a lot of dogs across the UK, Ireland, Poland and Benelux- but we want to feed dogs everywhere. And to do this, we need a team of brilliant people who share that ambition to come and work with us.

Flexible working at Butternut Box
At Butternut, we value flexibility and in-person interactions. We know one-size doesn't fit all. Our approach is synchronized hybrid; it means that teams work from the office on the same set days during the week, and the rest of the time they can work from home or away from the office. We also offer 'remote first periods' at different points throughout the year where there is no requirement for our squad members to work from the office, which allows for additional flexibility and autonomy.
We also have a working remotely abroad policy for when you want to venture a little further than your couch 🏝

Hi 👋 I'm Sophie, a Senior Recruiter at Butternut. Max & I originally joined the squad in February 2022 to build out our Tech & Product teams, but I now support all areas of the business. I’m based in Bristol, UK, and mainly work remotely, which Max really appreciates.
