Job Description

👋About Us:

Hey there, we’re Wild. We’re on a mission to remove single-use plastic from the bathroom and redefine the future of personal care across Europe and beyond. We’re a high-growth, venture-backed start-up, launching our refillable deodorant on WeAreWild.com in 2020 - we’re also one of Europe’s fastest growing start-ups. Sounds fun, right?

We’re now looking for a Performance Marketing Lead to operationally lead our performance team which currently has 2-3 people. All performance is done in-house so an expert knowledge of the main performance channels e.g. Meta, TikTok, Google & YouTube will be required. This role will ultimately be responsible for a huge portion of Wild’s marketing spend and as such any applicant must understand they are entering into an extremely high-growth, fast paced scale-up environment. There is a level of chaos and constant change that would not be found in agencies / larger companies but it is also a super exciting time to join and an amazing opportunity for the right person.

This role will work closely with our other marketing teams, especially creative & brand teams and will be entirely focused on helping Wild scale spend on performance channels. We currently utilise two agencies for creative + our internal creative team and have ambitions to scale this up in line with our needs. Our paid social spend ranges from £500k to £1m monthly so you will be responsible for a very large budget targeting around £8-£10m in 2024. We have large capacity and desire to scale but want this to be done in a data-led, always-testing way.

Ready to become a Wild thing?

📓Some of your daily responsibilities:

  • Managing the performance team which includes a Performance Marketing Manager, an intern focused on UGC gathering and has access to cross team support from brand, copywriter, creative etc.

  • Managing our external creative agencies to ensure we are getting the best possible results from them.

  • Operationally running all our paid channels - Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Google and from time to time testing Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit etc. This is not a purely strategic role, so expect to be in the weeds of optimisation and really helping out your team to test, iterate and improve their approach to scaling our ads and spend.

  • You will be adept at using and deciphering data and able to draw sensible conclusions from tests and data from ads. You have a deep understanding of all performance marketing metrics and have strong experience optimising to different metrics such as CAC/ROAS/CPP etc.

  • You have a good understanding of attribution and have used either a MMM tool or impression based modelling tool. You understand how to use these tools to optimise your spend on a daily basis. We currently use Fospha.

  • You understand what good creative is and what it looks like and you understand that it is the single most important factor to gaining success in performance ads.

🚀 What we need from you:

  • A willingness to get your hands dirty and remain deep in the weeds of performance marketing metrics and optimisations.

  • Great experience in either agency or in-house teams (preferred) working with sizeable performance marketing budgets (at least 100k+ p/m) within the ecommerce space.

  • Expert knowledge of our main ad platforms and a desire to continuously learn and adapt.

  • Management experience, you will be responsible for upskilling our current team members and helping them grow.

  • Inexhaustible energy - we are busy all year round, with campaigns constantly going live on a monthly basis with new products, launches etc. We can’t cut corners and there is a lot of room to improve upon what we already do with the right energy and application.

  • Cross-team collaboration - you will be working with a lot of other marketing teams to help deliver your goals. Communication is absolutely key to this role and you will be able to show evidence of working well with others.

🙌What you’ll get from us:

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays

  • Hybrid working, 3 days a week in our shiny new London office

  • Weekly early finishes and social events

  • Mental wellbeing support through Spill

  • A role at a young but well-established brand making a considerable splash in sustainable self-care

We have a really simple approach to DEI, and that is that we embrace and celebrate everyone. Our company culture is all about bringing your most authentic self to work - I mean, how else could we drive innovation? Each and every single one of our employees have huge input into who Wild is, and where we’re going to go in the future, and we literally couldn’t do this without having a team of individuals from all areas of the world, ethnicities, genders, beliefs, socioeconomic backgrounds and more. We’re always looking to grow our team by hiring people with fresh perspectives and ideas!
