Job Description

We are hiring a Editor to join our European media team. On a daily basis, your main mission will be to participate to the production of articles on the media and on the social medias of the Welcome to the Jungle media in Czech Republic. You will mainly address two very specific goals:

  • increase the reach of our audience and communities on social media

  • increase our media legitimacy on work topics by producing and editing high-qualitative contents

  • increase our organic traction, especially on social media

RESPONSIBILITIES

EDITORIAL

  • Participating to the development of the editorial line of the media by participating to each editorial meeting

  • Co-write articles for WTTJ media by respecting his DNA and guidelines (in collaboration with the Edito Team in our HQ in Paris)

  • Co-write and edit scripts for our media videos published on social medias ****(in collaboration with the Video Team in our HQ in Paris) and ensure a smooth roll-out of the shootings with our production team in Prague

  • Work with post-production on the short videos strategy, especially on Tik-Tok and Instagram for Reels.

  • Managingthe page-sending and the proof-reading of the articles on the WTTJ media

  • Edit articles of the freelancers and in-house journalists and search constantly for new journalists.

  • Coordinate the updates of articles and volume dedicated to updates in an organic traffic oriented strategy. Especially reposting on Facebook to optimise our archives.

  • Write and command articles for SEO purposes and produce semantic cocoon on key thematics for us

  • Produce native content for our social media, on Facebook, Linkedin but especially on our Instagram and our Tik-Tok account.

  • Ensure a relevant news monitoring in order to propose new topics and innovative formats

  • Write post for social media with catchy and smart leads

STRATEGY

  • Participate to the diffusion strategy optimisation on the social network (in collaboration with the Social Media team in our HQ in Paris), on our SEO channels (in collaboration with the SEO squad) and in our newsletter canal.

  • Participate to the creation of cross-border initiatives, with the European team.

  • Animating community spaces that brings members together, achieved through speaking out, creating content and organising events.

  • Reflect permanently about the right editorial strategy to address reach objectives of the section (participation to the performance editorial meetings every quarter, monitor the performance of the section every month…)

Preferred experience

At Welcome to the Jungle you won’t find homogeneity, we all come from different backgrounds and that’s our strength!

Get in touch if you are interested in media and if:

  • you’re a journalist with at least 3-4 years of experience in digital media,

  • you have editorial knowledge with high writing skills for both articles and video script,

  • you are at ease with data management and able to identify editorial dynamics behind numbers,

  • you are interested in new trends and have a good ideas for new topics, especially when it comes to work environment-related news,

  • you have good knowledge of the new media environment in CZ,

  • you have an excellent knowledge about social media dynamics on Tik-Tok, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn,

  • you are reliable and have great organizational skills,

  • you have a refined written expression in Czech and speak English fluently,

  • you know how to build and manage a network of freelance content contributor,

  • you’re a team player and have a sense of working collaboratively, you enjoy working in a multicultural environment of diverse talent; respect is key
