Team Leader 2nd Line _Oracle DBA

Job Description

Your day to day:

As part of the European Vodafone Network Operation (VNO) organization, included in the Cloud&OSS department, the Infra&OS-DBA administration team is responsible for the maintenance of the infrastructure and the administration of Oracle DB in the network operations environment in Vodafone Germany

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

  • Team Management and Development: hiring, training, and mentoring DBAs, as well as conducting performance reviews and fostering a positive team environment
  • Project Management: plan and monitor projects, ensuring that deadlines are met, and standards are upheld, often coordinating with other departments
  • Manage and operate Oracle databases with a focus on high availability, performance, and stability, including RAC and DataGuard.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades of Database Environments
  • Implement and monitor security measures such as Oracle TDE and Oracle Database Vault to comply with corporate security policies.

  • Understanding of implementing cybersecurity measures to protect DBs
  • Excellent Communication: skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Working experience on Administration of Oracle Databases
  • Familiarity with Oracle Exadata Database Machine
  • Understanding of managing various OS’s, Redhat Linux, Windows
