Job Description

Your day to day:

You will define and manage across the Global organization critical and strategical features / functionalities for software defined systems in order to improve network performance and customers’ level of service. Design, testing, configuration and deployment of software defined systems specific to radio access (BTSs, gNodeBs, eNodeBs, BSCs) in order to fulfil performance requirements for external clients.

You will evaluate and decide the short and long term plans for the network dedicated software evolution considering technical roadmaps, cost and risk management perspectives. Performs analysis, creates guidelines, defines specific technical solutions and develop dedicated software to configure the radio network (BTS, gNodeBs, eNodeBs, BSCs) in line with the optimization requirements of new RAN Sw functionalities (features) and releases. Performs testing and acceptance of the RAN Sw releases and functionalities. Deploy live RAN Sw based systems and performs troubleshooting for further RAN Sw system improvement and evolution.

•You will contribute to technology evolution plans for network dedicated software, based on strategic service requirements

•You will analyse and evaluate new hardware and software technologies for designing and building innovative and more efficient Sw defined radio systems for clients

•You will create guidelines for new Sw Features implementation

•You will develop dedicated RAN software for the European OpCos customers, create XML commands in line with optimization guidelines

•You will define and manages (including associated delivery risks) projects involving software defined systems, to improve network performance and deliver RAN network efficiencies at Global organization level.

•You will plans/ executes implementation, testing and field verification of new RAN software on the related Hw equipment

•You will performs optimization and troubleshooting activities than writes the technical specifications for the necessary SW or HW changes

•You will be involved (input/recommendations) in critical strategic technology crossfunctional team projects, shares back the technical expertise to the other team members or local Markets

•High level parameter settings of sw releases for all the Ericsson technologies, in order to achieve an optimized customer experience and improved KPIs

With these skills you are a great candidate:

•You have expert level of knowledge of radio access technologies (2G, 4G and 5G)

•You have excellent Knowledge of radio equipment and sw functionalities and parameter

•You have very good knowledge of main network KPIs and optimization techniques

•You have a good understanding of the SW lifecycle: development, testing and acceptance, implementation, performance optimization and troubleshooting

•Good awareness of wider technology aspects in telecommunications and ICT

•Capacity and capability of multi project parallel working and prioritization, delivering in time results.

•Inter-functional relationships

•Ability to switch from analysis and strategy definition to action.

•Very good communication and influence skills, flexibility to fast adapt to changing conditions and customer requirements.

•University degree in computer science, telecommunications or equivalent
