Job Description

Role purpose

The Manager of Business Continuity Management & IT Controls is responsible for developing and maintaining robust business continuity and resilience capabilities for Vodacom DRCongo.

He/She will report to the Executive Head of Corporate Security

Key Responsibilities

• Develop & maintain Business Impact Analysis and Business continuity strategies for Vodacom Congo
• Deliver a complete and up to date BIA database for accurate strategy development considering:
• Accurate organizational structures
• Conduct risk assessments as part of the BIA process
• Identification and inclusion of up and downstream activities
• Identification of activities linked to high priority services where applicable
• Evaluate SLAs and specific BCM requirements for Mission and Business critical activities where applicable
• Ensure accurate Business Continuity Management Systems database and final acceptance by business.
• Ensure accurate monthly reporting with escalation of issues and non-conformances
• Develop Business Continuity Strategies that raise senior management’s awareness of undesirable consequences and potential risks, which helps to justify the need for business continuity plans.
• Develop business continuity plans and facilitate development of recovery strategies for all groups within Vodacom Congo including regions.
• Develop and implement Site Incident Management Plans and strategies for Mobil Telephone Exchange Sites across the country & dedicated sites.
• Develop testing & exercising strategies for all groups including the executive committee to increase their readiness and capability to effectively work as an executive team to play a leadership role and resolve crisis with the least impact on Vodacom reputation and brand.
• Facilitate and implement end-to-end testing scenarios across all groups
• Conduct risk assessment workshops and prepare risk reports
• Provide consultation up to Managing Executive and executive committee levels.
• Develop project schedules and manage projects across groups
• Coordinate resources across groups for testing, exercising, meetings and workshops
• Manage Work Area Recovery facilities
• Prepare monthly progress reports for DRC management, Vodacom and Vodafone groups.
• Develop and implement Technology Resilience and Business Continuity Management frameworks guidelines, policies, procedures, training, awareness material and official standards (ISO 22301).
• To lead a team of Specialists as part of a project and ensure deliverables according to the Scope of Work
• To maintain Technology Resilience compliance strategy including technology recovery plans testing of all critical and business systems.
