Job Description

Role purpose:

The job holder will be responsible for performing various functions and recommending suitable strategies to ensure the safety of organization’s IT systems from potential threats and attacks that could disrupt company’s operations. He/she will be responsible to report vulnerabilities and hardening deviations in systems and software architecture, propose appropriate strategies to address them and monitor while recommending specific measures that can improve the company’s overall security posture.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Plan, implement, manage, monitor and upgrade security measures for the protection of the organization's data, systems
• Ensuring that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls.
• Proactively and reactively identify, assess, and manage IT security risks, ensuring accurate recording, timely reporting, and effective follow-up on mitigation measures to protect organizational assets and data.
• Taking an active role in the change management process
• Evaluating the organization’s security needs and establish best practices and standards accordingly
• Identifying current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats
• Liaising with vendors to implement security solutions
• Conducting proactive research to analyze security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies
• Daily administrative tasks, reporting, and communication with the relevant departments in the organization.
• Provide subject-matter expert input to Technology Security Policy requirements and procedures

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• A degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or related qualification.
• Experience with Office 365 Security and Endpoint Security.
• Experience in identifying, managing, and reporting IT security risks, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Good Understanding on Mobile and Fixed business and technologies
• Project Management skills
• People & Stakeholders Management
• Adaptive communication skills
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
• Critical / applied thinking (listen, evaluate and propose)
• Good literacy and report writing skills

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Previous experience in Telecommunication industry
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems and/or equivalent work experience
• Very good oral and written communication skills in both Greek and English language
