IN & Voice Service Platforms Engineer with German

Job Description

Your day to day:

Engineer 2nd Line of IN & Voice Service Platforms in a multi-vendor environment. Preventive and corrective second level troubleshooting ensuring quality and continuity of service and the restoring time for virtualized Service Applications.

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

  • In case of incident, assure trouble shooting analysis and all repair actions, including vendor support escalation, in order to achieve service restoration of impacted applications.
  • Perform proactive maintenance activities to prevent incidents and constantly optimize the network, e.g. Daily Walkthroughs and Health checks for Service applications/platforms. Take corrective measures based on performance management and indicators trend analysis.
  • Assure planned work activities, network rollout, software upgrades and parameter changes ensuring quality of service and avoiding regression on service and platforms functionalities.
  • Assure Service Level Agreements and Service-KPIs with involved internal and external partners.
  • Responsibilities include managing security protocols, conducting risk assessments, and implementing threat mitigation strategies.

With these skills you are a great candidate:

  • Good knowledge of SIP protocol, SSL, TCP/IP, SNMP, RedHat Linux and RedHat Openshift
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle DBs desirable
  • Good knowledge of mobile network architectures 2G/4G/5G, VoLTE, operating virtualized Applications with experience in VMware.Analyse and interpret traces (Wireshark traces, network element traces, logs)
  • Experience with scripting languages and automation tools (e.g. Python, Ansible, Shell, Perl)
  • German (B-Level preferable, spoken and written) and English (B/C-Level, spoken and written)

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • University degree: faculty of Electronics , Telecommunications and Information Technology
  • 1-3 years of experience in Network Operations and Maintenance activities
  • German (B-Level preferable, spoken and written) and English (B/C-Level, spoken and written)
