Title: Global Account Manager

What you’ll do

Role purpose:

This individual will be focussed on acquisition of new business within the global enterprise space. The target market is a selection of international and multinational customers headquarter in Australia, with decision making or influence in Australia or other local country where they operated. The target customers are listed as a Vodafone Business International (VBI) account.

The candidate will be an experienced salesperson (more than 10 years), well versed in prospecting, lead generation, presentation to ‘C level’ contacts, proposal writing and ultimately closing business. They are very comfortable in offering and receiving real time feedback to their colleagues in a constructive way to deliver the desired outcome for their client and for Vodafone.

This individual will work closely with their prospective clients, to understand their underlying business requirements and challenges, their current and future IT landscape, business challenges, and propose suitable propositions, solutions and services. As the business could be complex due to the diversify and multi-national nature, the individual need to think and architect strategic approach and formalize a global strategic plan for execution. They should be comfortable in articulating our Vodafone global value propositions to the client (and not simply the prescribed product features, advantages, and benefits but using consultative and solution selling approach to deliver the fit for purpose outcome). This individual is skilled at building virtual teams, managed the entire sales cycle, be fully aligned with the client, and to deliver the desired business outcomes for client as well as growing revenues for Vodafone.

The leadership skills of this individual allow them to achieve high performance through mentoring their virtual team across all areas of best serving their account opportunities.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
1. To acquire new customers and business for VBI in the Asia Pacific (preferred contract and billing in Asia) and all OPCO/Partner Market countries
2. Negotiating profitable business in accordance with Vodafone policies, lead a virtual team comprising pre-sales, sales specialists, pricing, finance, bid management and legal teams for the sales engagement. And also liaising with the service management and project management teams on service delivery issues to ensure client satisfaction.
3. Manage sales proposals, tenders/bids, contract management, ADP’s, and accurately complete order processing details
4. Executive contact plans and relationship mapping strategies to build relationship and insight into the customers situation
5. Accurately complete all necessary sales pipeline and reporting details (eg. Salesforce)

Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
1. Local & International Japanese nationality (or have been working in Japan as well as internationally for a reasonable amount of time to understand both domestic market as well international market) with excellent fluency in the Japanese and English language and well understood the culture for business engagements
2. TAS (Target Account Selling). Supported by an example of where those skills have been used to secure a complex strategic opportunity
3. Excellent negotiation Skills
4. Minimum 10 years of sales experience – in telecommunications, Information Technology and/or Systems Integration
5. Proven track record in delivering sales target over consecutive years

• Data Networking (MPLS, Ethernet and bandwidth)
• Hosting and Cloud Computing Services
• Unified Communications (IP telephony, Exchange, Lync etc.)
• Managed Video Conferencing

• Regional and global turn-key deals/projects
