Role purpose:

This individual will be focused on acquisition of new business within the VBI for China based enterprise accounts. The target end-user is a selection of multinational nature of Chinese customers with decision making mainly in China or their respective outbound countries. The target customers are listed as a VBI account or new requested accounts with penetration for managed networks and services, mobility, IoT, Cloud & security, MPN 5G, and any innovative ICT solutions either direct or through other eco-systems technology and channel partners.

The candidate will be an experienced sales leader who has sales management role for more than 10 years managing sales team and virtual functional team. This candidate is expecting to manage a sales team and he/she himself has to directly manage large strategic accounts. This candidate will be well versed in prospecting, lead generation, presentation to ‘C level’ contacts, proposal writing and ultimately closing business. They are very comfortable in offering and receiving real time feedback to their colleagues in a constructive way to deliver the desired outcome for their client and for Vodafone.

This individual will work closely with their eco-system/technology partners and channel partners, packaged with their technology and services selling with to understand the end-user’s underlying business requirements and challenges, their current and future IT landscape, and challenges, and propose suitable propositions, solutions, and services. They should be comfortable in articulating our Vodafone global value propositions to the client (and not simply the prescribed product features, advantages, and benefits). This individual is skilled at building virtual teams, managed the entire sales cycle, be fully aligned with the client, and to deliver the desired business outcomes for client as well as growing revenues for Vodafone.

The leadership skills of this individual allow them to achieve high performance through mentoring their virtual team across all areas of best serving their account opportunities.

What you’ll do

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
1. To acquire new customers and business for VBI Asia Pacific (preferred contract and billing in Asia), and to work with a team to deliver a country sales target
2. Negotiating profitable business in accordance with Vodafone policies, lead a virtual team comprising pre-sales, sales specialists, pricing, finance, bid management and legal teams for the sales engagement. And liaising with the service management and project management teams on service delivery issues to ensure client satisfaction.
3. Manage sales proposals, tenders/bids, contract management, ADP’s, and accurately complete order processing details
4. Executive contact plans and relationship mapping strategies to build relationship and insight into the customers situation
5. Accurately complete all necessary sales pipeline and reporting details (eg. Salesforce)

Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
1. TAS (Target Account Selling). Supported by an example of where those skills have been used to secure a complex strategic opportunity
2. Excellent negotiation Skills
3. Minimum 10-15 years of sales experience – in telecommunications, Information Technology and/or Systems Integration
4. Proven track record in delivering sales target over consecutive years

• Data Networking (MPLS, Ethernet and bandwidth)
• Hosting and Cloud Computing Services
• Unified Communications (IP telephony, Exchange, Lync etc.)
